Kenshi is an independently made game. I've done it entirely without any financial backing from publishers, and every penny spent here goes directly into funding the continued development of the game. I've got a freelance artist to pay, and would also like to hire a professional sound designer and license an audio engine. All this is made possible by you guys donating and buying the game, so thank you all!

BUY THE GAME

This is just plain normal buying the game.  You will get a key to unlock the demo to full-version.  This entitles you to free game updates even after it is finished, and you will also get a Steam key when the game is officially complete.

DRM free, except for a basic key-code to simply unlock the full game.  There is no online activation, no limited activations, and you can install on multiple machines.

$13

YOUR NAME IN THE CREDITS

Along with the game you get to have your name show up in the in-game credits.  Bask in the awe and envy of your peers!  Say to your grandchildren years from now "Look! Look that's me! There in the credits!" and they will look at you.

$45

YOUR NAME IN THE GAME

Have your name (or a name of your choice) used for in-game characters.  Certain NPCs in game have unique names that are randomly chosen from a name list, get your name on that list! (You also get your name in the credits)

(Note that I retain creative control over the game and have final say over what goes in.  So, you know, if you keep going "I want to be called Spiderman!" I will say "No, you can't have that one, choose something else.")

$75

DESIGN A CHARACTER

You get to design your own NPC to go in the game!  You can be a recruitable character, or possibly something else like a shopkeeper if you like.  You will be able to design the name, appearance, job, and even write dialogue if you want.  Base it on yourself and you can sleep happy in the knowledge that in a game somewhere else in the world, at any given moment, some other player probably has you on your team.  And you are probably getting stabbed.

You also get all the bonuses listed above!

(Note that I retain creative control over the game and have final say over what goes in, so I will work with you to make modifications to your design until we are both happy.  This is to ensure the final quality and setting of the game does not suffer from external control.)

$200

NAME A TOWN

Name your own town in the game!  You can also choose which town, or specify the owning faction, and whether its a mining town, trading hub, farming village, fortress, bandit outpost etc.

You also get all the bonuses listed above!

$500

DESIGN A SUPER-NPC!

Similar to "Design a Character", except you get to be a high-level badass!  Your dude will be a famous, known person. Choose your stats and equipment and decide what you're going to be.  You could make a bandit king, a warlord, the emperor, a renowned swordsmaster...

How cool is that?  "Extremely cool", you reply.

You also get your name in the credits and a copy of the game, but not the other perks because you don't need them, you already have a badass NPC on the go.

(Note that I retain creative control over the game and have final say over what goes in, so I will work with you to make modifications to your design until we are both happy.  This is to ensure the final quality and setting of the game does not suffer from external control.)

$1000

STUFF TO NOTE:

  1. With all of the above bonuses, I still retain creative control over the game and have final say over what goes in, so I will work with you to make modifications to your design until we are both happy.  This is to ensure the final quality and setting of the game does not suffer from external control.
  2. Most of these are LIMITED EDITION, meaning once a certain number of each bonus has been claimed I will take it down.  This is for practical reasons, and to make sure that the game doesn't suffer from a flood of super NPCs or something.
  3. Prices may increase over time, based on popularity.  I will never drop the price of a bonus, because it would be unfair on previous buyers, but I may increase them.
