Coverting Prisoners?
This is more a question of whether or not this has been mentioned as a future feature, but if not, it's a request: the ability to convert prisoners. Instead of trading them in for a bounty or just setting them free/killing them, I thought it might be useful to be able to convert prisoners in cages you own to your squad by giving them a bribe proportionate to their stats.
Don t think the prisioners would acept to change unless you would give them a good deal xD, but could be a option and they could ask something to they acept change or what not, but yeah we ll be able to enslave, but is different from what Takata means, slaves will just work, and if they converted they become one of your squad.
In another note, forget the idea of killing, i don t think we ll see any option to instantly kill someone, as the same could hapopen to you, and would kill the game sense of hard to die to avoid constant loads, unless you leave him to die in the cage of starvation, or long time torture xD.

I wouldn't go so far as to say we certainly won't get an execute ability, but it doesn't seem like it would happen before the AI can monitor more than a simple like/dislike of your faction. We'll get a surrender option in battle soon from what I gather, and once that is in place enemies could potentially surrender as well. However if your faction has a reputation as a group that enslaves or kills their enemies, surrender wouldn't seem like an appealing option. I believe that we could very well get an execute option, but at the same time if we did using it would probably generate some anxiety among other factions. Eventually they might decide you're too violent and attempt to attack you, if you're large enough several factions might work together to accomplish that. We'll know more about what the AI will be inclined to do once the AI starts performing organized raids and such against outposts, which is still several updates away.
I'm not saying that we will get an execute move, but I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say we won't either. In the end it's more about what Chris decides than anything else, we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeha i know so, but to me this is, gives me the feeling till now with all, that is keeping away from instant death, keep death a hard thing to happen, not that i don t mind it, would be withing right to execute a prisioner, but is as you said, if i got right, other factions might see as a cruel act and drop relations, especially maybe if you do agianst someone of a higher "rank".Clawdius Talonious wrote:I'm not saying that we will get an execute move, but I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say we won't either. Would slaves also rebel if i had to many or defense was weak for a time?
How about factions, mercs, and people surrendering more often because your known to enlist anyone capable?
Traders going from town to town based on price, distance and risk? or is it random?
The world is nothing but an illusion of the mind
Guss anyone can surrender, tho might be rare to see on factions, pride xD.islesofurth wrote:How about factions, mercs, and people surrendering more often because your known to enlist anyone capable?

Curious about the traders too, but guess if they will be doing by prices, may added risk indeed due to the incoming envirioment.

This was also discussed in Hire an Injured Enemy and other ideas. Might be worth a look.
