Something I'd like to see is unique portraits imported via the player, so it is easier to identify individual characters.
As of now everyone shares the same portrait and although the names are there, during combat if I'm looking at ALL my people it would be more viable to see the portrait I'm looking for at the bottom and click on it.
Just somewhere in the characters statistics an "Import Portrait" button that allows the player to look through his/her computer for an acceptable portrait. You could make the game allow only images of the proper size.
I think this feature would be undeniably helpful for identifying characters, especially if you happen to have 20 or so.
Thanks for reading my post.
Import portrait picture
I like this idea!
Or equally we could also get attached with this, some default portraits. So we can give our Joe-Bloggs Character who is basically just a farm hand/miner a generic picture for those things.
Maybe have the ability to change them as frequently as you like, just in case you have to recruit a farmer as a warrior? In any case some sort of default set and option for personal portraits would be cool!

Another suggestion I had was with showing health status for party members. I was thinking that it might be easier and more consistent to show a character portrait that represents the 3d model of the character from maybe the shoulders up. Whenever more hair/body/face/hats choices and variations are added, it would make it simple to tell each character apart. I know first hand how frustrating it is keeping tabs on party members since I start up a new squad every so often and use some of the strangest names.
