Is you reseach somethink, no-one other will use it, but if you sell that technology (or items from it) you will see it in hands of other NPCs

Just a small idea

That sounds like fun. :) That is how you could really see the meaning of your business and how it affects the game world. If you start your own blacksmith business and invent better weapons, armor etc. and sell it and see people use it. Of course the best equipment always becomes common.

I know that this will be hard to code, but if this will be implemented into game, this will be most awesomely coded game ever (um second, Dwarf Fortress is still more awesome!)

This sounds a lot like Trade Goods in Galactic Civilizations 2 - there was a select few items that gave faction wide perks, however once a faction had researched it, it was impossible to be acquired by other civilizations except by trade.

I really like this idea, but I think it should be limited to some higher tier research techs so that if you are slow off the starting block, there is a way (albeit a slow and difficult one) to still be competitive...

When playing Majesty so far as I remember your nation's hero could buy equipment available in other friendly or neutral shops so I guess compared to past experience both ideas of selling products or the tech itself is good.

Selling the product meant continuous income along with relation bonuses especially if there's quest to complete a bulk order which will result with the quest npc spawning an army equiped with the provided stuff. You could control the economy and scarcity of the product.

Sell lots of it and the price mark-up percentage will drop and a lot more of buying faction units are equiped with more powerful stuff. Stop selling high tiered weapons/equips, over time defeated allied/friendly will respawn with their own standard equips...resulting with defeat in battles, lost siege and heavily raided trade routes. You are able to directly influence the faction's strength.

In my opinion tech itself should have a huge price tag. Selling tech should be an option for instant wealth like when you want to start your faction base or raise a well equipped army in emergency but lack the funds. Maybe you are trapped between warring side and don't want neither side to win so just sell to both of them for money and to keep them both fighting.

But I do hope there'll be hidden tech to be discovered or secret requirements to unlock hidden tech trees. That way the more you play and how differently you play the game, the more surprises you'll get...
