Alright, so here's the deal:
I just dropped a Sand Ninja Jounin. I think to myself, "Well, Gramling, you're set. 5000 Catan bounty, here I come!" But then I notice that the Ninja is about to bleed to death. I perform last minute first aid, but he gets up and runs off with both arms dangling limply at his sides. I chase after him and catch up easily, but for the life of me cannot take him down. Why? Well, because Kenshians think you need to stand still before you attack. So, as a feature, you should be able to have your characters run and leap/dash at an opponent and run them through. It would be a quick end to most chases, which is what I desperately need.
Running Attacks
A good idea, maybe your squad members could use such an attack if they met certain requirements, like dex and weapon skills or the weight of the weapon, I can't imagine you could leap too far with a 53 kg fragment axe. As for your bounty running away, I've had that happen as well. Maybe an option of hogtying him beforehand? I don't know if that's been suggested yet, I'll do a search for it.

Seems very important to be able to attack a target that is running away. Right now it doesn't even matter if you many times faster then the enemy if they are running there is very little you can do to hurt them.
Early in the game when I got in trouble with my first character I had to run several times. Even when I was loaded down with weight and could barely move the enemy couldn't get me as long as I kept moving. Initially I thought I would need to not keep to much equipment early on because it would be dangerous if I moved to slow. It seems that at this point though you just can't do much to people that are moving.
Ranged combat should help this out some but I think as long as you move quickly enough compared to your enemy you should be able to attack.

I assume something like this will be added waaaaay down further in the production of the game. Don't worry. The combat right now is more of a placeholder than anything. It will be much better, just right now Chris is trying to build the ground base of the game before he starts refining everything and upgrading the combat and stuff.
