I know few of these may probably have been mentioned before, some certainly have, but i thought it was essential to mention them in one.
1. Forests and Lumber
I've read around that Chris is planning to add some forests, swamps etc to the map soon. My request is that we be able to cut trees (and plant them) by then. It's an awesome idea to build a castle in the middle of a forest and actually control the shape of it. Decorating your fortress with various sorts of trees around it.
2. Dynamic biome changes
Perhaps when the weather effects are implemented we could go to a desert area, plant some trees there.. and watch the place slowly going green, or perhaps if a forest is burnt (by any reason) it could become a dreadful wasteland in ashes for a long time.
I did a research on it and it's actually quite possible to change deserts into rain forests in real life. So it wouldn't make the game unrealistic. (although it should take a lot of time and be difficult.)
3. Rivers/lakes, Coastal cities & Ships
It would be absolutely amazing to be able to buy ships in Coastal cities and/or make them yourself. Perhaps even upgrade them in the research section, and later on use them to sail up rivers, to other cities. It would even inspire some players to build coastal cities, others.. may prefer being highlanders instead.
Oh and imagine... NAVAL BATTLES AND BOARDING! ^^
There are already tricorn hats in the game, why no pirates? (:
4. Tunnels
Underground cities have already been mentioned, so my suggestion would be that perhaps we could create tunnels through mountains to make travelling easier, or perhaps have some created in the first place. Secret tunnels that you have to discover maybe?
5. Caves
I know this has been mentioned before, but i have to put it here as well because it's an amazing idea. You could put walls in the entrances and build an exquisite city to behold. Especially with the tunneling idea, this would create epic battles and sieges, as caves only have numbered entrances.
Feel free to complete/improve my suggestions in the replies.

Kind of off topic post but could you please leave the green text color for moderators?
I know it's not an official rule or anything but every time I see green color I first assume a mod has changed the text somehow and left his/hers/nekumans explanation of why it was changed.

Ships like this (junk):

And be able to mount turrets on ships to attack cities or other ships (and take enemy ships+volunteers, of course).....
Well I want to build a city in the desert but if I have a river or a lake connected to the ocean/sea near my base.....why should I negate the fluvial profit?
And if we will have tunnels and caves.......Why not waist flashlight? Because we want to have both hands free to smash enemies heads and see in the darkness

It would be great to use that as a means of trade aswell. Building a coastal merchant city (sort of like Venice) and dedicating yourself to trade by sea. (hiring a big crew to fight off the pirates etc..)Set wrote: Well I want to build a city in the desert but if I have a river or a lake connected to the ocean/sea near my base.....why should I negate the fluvial profit?![]()
If tunnels and caves were to be implemented i'm sure Chris would also think of miner's helmets that produce light. (Since i heard that field of vision will be implemented, it would make sense.)Set wrote: And if we will have tunnels and caves.......Why not waist flashlight? I'm pretty sure mining helmets cover your head enough. o.o
And yeah, I would probably be a trader in one game and a pirate in another. Shiver me timbers, right?

I dont think the orge engine is capable of a lot of this stuff we might have to wait for Kenshi 2 on Cry Engine? *hint* *hint*
I'd also like environment that is deadly...quicksand, diseased marshlands, geyser or lava shooting from the ground at random, duststorm or twister, thunderstrike, exploding plants, carnivorous plants....this make sure that weak units and npc would walk along a normal roadway instead of running headlong anywhere you like...the world is a strange and dangerous place so tread carefully...

Uhm.. i really hope that's not the case.. The original Kenshi develops really slowly, it'll take around 1,5 years until it's complete. Doing everything from scratch with another engine would be like.. really frustrating. xDDeathhood98 wrote:I dont think the orge engine is capable of a lot of this stuff we might have to wait for Kenshi 2 on Cry Engine? *hint* *hint*
I really like this idea. It would add more to the sense of fear and insecurity in the game. You could even go paranoid at times if you only have 1 character. xDarthoz wrote:I'd also like environment that is deadly...quicksand, diseased marshlands, geyser or lava shooting from the ground at random, duststorm or twister, thunderstrike, exploding plants, carnivorous plants....this make sure that weak units and npc would walk along a normal roadway instead of running headlong anywhere you like...the world is a strange and dangerous place so tread carefully...
Let's hope Chris can pull it off. He's on his way to making one classic game. I have the feeling it'll be a hit and people will play it dozens of years from now.. that is of course if there are no Kenshi inspired new games. Otherwise Kenshi wil only remain the origin of a new genre.
