I have run into a similar error trying to outfit my group with those sandals.
Only difference is i can generally put them on my characters and it might crash but i checked every time i put one set of sandals on and quick save it crashes. I was hoping to fit them one at a time atleast.

crashing on quicksave - fixed possible other bug
version 0.26.3 got version off crash file dump name. Any attempt to quick save results in a crash.
