Re: Why no wood?
The one thing that is better when made of virtually any other material. Meanwhile the things you expect, like bows, or crossbow bolt shafts, or shields, or weapon hilts, or buildings, or furniture... no wood. So, besides sandals, why no wood?

Why no wood?
There are trees all over the land of Kenshi. Whole forests. Trees thick enough to carve rooms inside of them. So why is there no wood? There's no wood-burning generator, no wooden bows, no wooden structures or polearm staves, etc. Why not?

Re: [MOD] Nekos World Balance Overhaul
You said combat is now "one on three" - do you mean that one person can take on three enemies at once? Or do you mean "three on one" - that three enemies can attack one person at a time, instead of the current taking turns method?

Re: Faction Status
Thanks a lot, Sol. I did go through the tutorial info on bounties, but my experience in the game made me assume that info was out of date. I've only ever seen one bandit with a bounty, and it was just a random dust bandit. Seems like there would be more, since people talk about turning in bounties f...

Re: An NPC medic rescue command
I generally agree with you, but someone will surely find a way to exploit the mechanics with rescuing. Taking away control from the player's character doesn't seems like a good option. What if they're attacked, or player decide to give up the idea of rescuing under pressure of heavy enemy's pursuit...

When I press Alt and click on an item's name, my selected person picks up the item. Are you asking for something that's already in the game, or am I misunderstanding? A couple new ones for ya: I want to swipe to move items between inventories. Hold down R-click (and shift if I want stacks), and just...

But I LIKE training up my people in stealth just so they can effectively save people from being eaten by beakthings!
Not really. Agreed.

Re: New crop: the Feed lot
I would prefer for a pasture land to function a little more like a farm than like a whole different thing. Maybe it's growing hay, which is a food item that can only be eaten by animals (preferably only by herbivores). I really like the idea that they can access the pasture on their own, and eat out...

Is there a place where I can learn more about turning in bounties? How do you tell there's a bounty? Is it always displayed if you click on the target? Or, are there certain creatures that have bounties no matter what? If so, how do you tell? How do you return a bounty if the police tell you to get ...

Re: Wild animals and domestic animals
Speaking of goats, I'm having a hard time justifying them. They don't graze for food, so they eat perfectly good people food just like a recruit. Only, they're weak, they can't do any work, and unless you use a mod they can't carry anything. All the cost with something like 1/5th the benefit. Bulls ...

Re: What is the best method and weapon to train dexterity?
Hiver country is your friend. :) At least, if you can find a solo Beakthing, you can micromanage the fight such that he never hits; he always signals his attack with enough time for you to pull your char back. You can also leave your char there to take the hit if you can see he has the right block ...

Profit on the fringe
I recently started a new game, aimed at joining the Flotsam Ninjas and raiding the Holy Lands. However, most of my experience so far has been keeping good relations with the HL, mainly so I can keep trading with them. Now I'm up on the Cannibal Plains and there's one single town I've been able to fi...

Re: River Raptors...
After reading this thread I made a base just south of Broken Tooth, on the river. So many raptors. I made the walls and gate before I started farming, so they wouldn't accost us. As soon as the first farm went in, swarm city. They broke through the gate and put nearly all my people into recovery com...

I would like a mod that introduces a dog house. In addition to the following, it has the same inventory and functionality as an animal feeder. Put your bonedog in there, and as long as the bonedog is "on duty" and conscious, any wildlife that gets within 30 feet of the dog house triggers t...

Re: trader base preference
Is there a way to know what locations the traders will stop in order to buy from your market counter? Is it only along the paths they normally follow as they walk through the world? If so, does that mean a shop on a road will attract traders, while they ignore a shop that's 20 feet away?

Re: Animals as pets kinda?
Thanks for successfully implementing pets as characters. I just recently started my first playthrough of the game, and chose the boy with a dog option, and it's been great. If the ability to capture and tame animals is in the game, I haven't found a way to do it, but I'd sure like to try that.

Re: Wild animals and domestic animals
Is it possible to add a new animal? A "domesticated goat"? Then set goats as being wild only, and set dom. goats as never wild? Is it possible to change an animal from one type into another, similar to the age trait?
Just some ideas.

Re: What is the best method and weapon to train dexterity?
I haven't found a way to train combat very well at all, and I could use some advice. My combat guy has 26 sabre skill and 21 attack, pretty good strength. But even though he'll win against 5 hungry bandits, it usually takes a day for him to recuperate and then find someone else to fight; and 10 band...

Re: Grain silo operation.
I have one person set to use the baking oven first, then the grain silo. Someone else is set to auto-haul for the grain barrel, which is right next to the silo. This results in the "baker" hauling all flour to the oven as soon as it's made, then since there's nothing else to do there, gett...
