Surely it wouldn't be too much to only have to fight it until it's below the KO point though, would it?
It's already a bit silly that you can butcher as soon as it goes into the negatives.
It was just never an issue until it also meant that player animals were just as vulnerable.

it's the sensible and humane thing to do. People in the world of Kenshi seem to nigh-universally be utter assholes, extremely stupid, or both. I wouldn't put it past them to engage in, say, ritual bloodletting before butchering an animal even if they were starving. I just want the death of my anima...
