v0.75.1 Crash on launch
For some reason, whenever I try to launch Kenshi in it's latest version on 64 bits, the launcher doesn't even work and I instead get this error message: http://img15.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_800409KenshiCrashimage.png However, when I try to find the aforementioned error log/crash dump, I can't fi...

Re: Modular Armour / Advanced Training
That's true.
Well, if there is a cap on how much damage you can do.
We don't want it to raise infinitely, otherwise, you'll kill bad guys in one shot...

Re: Modular Armor
Actually, yes, I wasn't thinking of the weapons, but I guess this could work...
But yes, you would need levels in blacksmithing or have a special equipment to separate two pieces of armor.

Modular Armor
This thread is about the implementation (?) of modular armor. But what is modular armor? Let me explain. Kenshi has a system based on items slots which are fixed and cannot move. The Pros: It's pretty easy to use and understand Once you find a plate, you have your whole armor. Almost no bugs Easy to...

Re: *CRAFTABLE TRAPS*
Now, this is a good idea, just with one problem: Balance. I know every item can be changed to fit the desires of the people, but you would just have to put a but of trap in front of your gate, and Boom... nvincibility! That and the facts that caltrops might not be very effective in the sand, because...

Hum excuse guys, but there already is a thread about that, so try to avoid multiple threads about the same things, okay ?

Re: a bad upcoming feature?
Well, it's been a while since the last time I have been here... Guess nothing did really change. My opinion is that such a cool feature shouldn't be refused for questions of lore. Because seriously, as far as we know, the background is not (for now) the proeminent feature in Kenshi. There is no stor...
Re: Firearms?
Seriously, about bullet deflection, I would prefer if you could deflect tons(well, maybe not that much) of these o rif you could not that just a single random one. Because having a single one parrried is more likely to provoke this reaction: "WTF, I survived? How did that... Oh yeah, deflection...

Re: a bad upcoming feature?
What the hell, this is really going out of hand... :| Well then, I propose that we go back to the topic to talk about serious manly things 8-) Or you could go off-topic on whether or not kittens is a good fuel for artificials limbs. And also, Australia seems like a lovely, peaceful, pest-ridd...

Re: Mechanical Arms are Historic Realities
I only see one thing that could be cool enough for a limb harvester faction, as Scotterius said: Steampunk mecha-drider. Seriously. To have your lower half replaced with a FREAKING spider body would so awesome I didn't find any picture on the matter. You equip that with claws and boom! mecha-scorpio...

Re: what are those suspicious looking plants?
Something that would be neet would be drugs, not the smoking/sniffing kind, but the medical one. It was when iSuck345 talked about the Space Marines that I remembered about that guy named Fabius Bile ( http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Fabius_Bile#.UQsN06WZQfA ).He is a battle medic who profusely use ...

Re: a bad upcoming feature?
Alright you proved your point. I can't say anything against such extensively complicated logic.
No, really, we are not the Congress or anything like that. So I believe myself that yes, that should be implemented, with steampunk prostethics, but with 5 lines at max of justifications.

Re: a bad upcoming feature?
Ugh, calm down peoples... I believe this is getting completely stupid and you know why? Because any random guy won't go through 6 pages of random rambling to know whether or not it is realistic... I mean, if for some reason Chris decide to implement robotics(or whatever) limbs, it would have to be e...
Re: Firearms?
Yes but we are only assuming these musquets use round bullets. Maybe we can use bolts, like in Warhammer 40000(in less futuristic of course). And we could also create vials of poison or acid to lauch. Like on the M1 Garand which use a grenade laucher named the M7. The concept is nice and can fit.

What could be fun would be to add a Coliseum where you can have deatmatches online...

Re: Firearms?
Yes, that's right but some peoples seems to think tthat when we mean firearms, it would be a AK-47 or a frag-grenade... Well, just try to look at MAB With Fire And Swords, and you will see that muskets and grenade might integrate really well. And even if firearms are implemented, I don't think Chris...
Re: Firearms?
I'd love to retrieve a piece of junk in the sand and throw it at the face of bandits just to find it's a grenade

Re: a bad upcoming feature?
Well, personally, I don't see whatv could go wrong with suh a featuren but we just need to know the limits: like you can't go Colonel Yarrick(google that) or have spider like legs, that would be way too strange, or would it? I think we just have to find a way to "justify" how there could b...

Well, a feature that could come in handy regarding the creation of an overpowered "Big Boss" would be the hability to have friendly duels between your character to train. Like using wooden swords or stuff like trainers in an arena...

Well, for some reason, the ground is still black for me... And there are no more townsfolk(but I doubt it is because of the file...)
