Re: New members say "Hi"
Russians for the win! Their weapons are definitely some of the most durable in existence, nice shooting Turmoil, sound like a badass shot :P And just a quick question, am I the only Ninja on the forum? Maybe, I don't know. But ninjas were some of the first assassins in history, probably even before...

Re: A comment on the current alpha world design (I like it!)
Well, and Kenshi... the whole sword-fight/samurai thing, could be regarded as an anachronism. If it's enough to qualify as steampunk, I dare not say. With Fallout, it is considered "Alternative History", and the primary technology was based on nuclear energy. So it can't be steampunk, but...

Re: New members say "Hi"
You just made that up like I made up that I knew good works about EA, didn't you? Believe it or not, no. Most of it is true, even the details about where the shots landed. My favorite part was the chase, when I jumped over the car and trash bin, because the guys shouted "He's a f***ing vampire...

Turmoil159 said: One shot - right under the eye This was at night and with a metal BB, that guy lucked out. So what made you choose the Dragunov as a weapon of choice? I have always been a sniper, since I first started playing shooting games. I love the finesse and skill it takes to land a shot on ...

Re: New members say "Hi"
Actually the name was given to me because I shot someone in the face. LET ME EXPLAIN!!!! I was with my cousin who lived in the ghetto in Memphis and one day when we were playing basketball on a trampoline (what the hell?), I was pushed down, and this punk jumped on my face and broke my nose. I got p...

Re: A Massive Wall of Text on Food and Water
Also, crops won't lasat forever (spoilers). Allow me to explain: Crops don't rely TOTALLY on rain, they also rely on the water inside the ground. Theese are known as salt minerals (in my country). The plants will slowly drain theese until they are out. This forces people to NOT harvest crops on som...

Re: A comment on the current alpha world design (I like it!)
Robots could be part of post-apoc. Again, look at Fallout. The pre-war time of that series had robots everywhere, doing everything including the kitchen sink (literally, look at the New Vegas DLC Old World Blues). For ranged weapons, I was under the impression he would stay with medieval gear such a...

Re: Your top 5 games beyond Kenshi
5. Whatever open-world RPG just came out. Dishonored, then Far Cry 3, and right now Miasmata. 4. Cavemen 2 Cosmos, mod for Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword 3. Dwarf Fortress 2. TES Daggerfall, Morrowind, Skyrim, I put all 3 because I keep rotating between them 1. Fallout 1/2/3/NV, the entire Fallout...

Re: New members say "Hi"
Hi, I'm turmoil. Ask me about the name some day, you'll find I spin a fine tale. And it's mostly true, too. In fact, ask me anything and you'll find I have a story to share. For the game though, you notice I talk a lot. If you've read any of my posts, most of them are entire theses on the game, desi...

Re: Game survey
Every time I read these, I get really deep, but I'll try to be quick here. I usually stick to cleaning bandits out and looting their gear, equipping the best, and selling the rest. The problem with this method is that my characters usually don't have enough space to carry too much, and the interface...

A Massive Wall of Text on Food and Water
I was reading a post in the general forums where people started talking about how to implement food and water rations, and started typing this as a response. It got so complicated, I decided to move it to here since I was basically writing a book of ideas that could be added. I doubt any of this wil...
Re: Gas masks
[...] Advertising aside there's many different types of gas masks, some of them still leave your face visible, or at least part of it. I also don't think they all protect against the same things. Do trench masks from WWI protect against the same stuff masks designed for miners do? I believe it depe...

A comment on the current alpha world design (I like it!)
I keep seeing a lot of the people who have been around a while comment on how the current design of the world, the map itself, really sucks. Even the developer has plans to change it. But I just want to step in and say that I love it. The setting is a vast open desert, and civilization is almost non...
