Did you download the update by torrent or by the direct download? I am having very similar problems and I did the direct download I don't know if there might be a connection there.

Can't play new update
I just got the new update by the direct download, not the original torrent that Chris offers. When I get to the start menu it reads .39 my kenshi worked great before. Now when I start a game New, old, or imported it opens but in a very buggy way. I can't see all of the ground and it is replaced with...
