Re: Bandits and Balance
I guess what I envisioned when I was in real ''City''status was pretty much the same type of ''Police'' setup with several weapons racks/storage where even the rusty old horse choppers would be stored and either used as trade/iron. I would think that if anything, depending on how development of the ...

Re: Production Issues
What I am usually having to do as a result is to birds-eye the whole outpost scene, moving frequently from one work station to the next. [ No use placing a well right next to farms and another much farther away. For whatever reason, they will run for the distant well and leave the fully-stocked and ...

Re: Trader Shuffle
Yeah, I too recall the horror back when I was buying ''construction materials'' in town rather than cranking them out at my mine how I would carve out some skimpy room on the merchants side just enough for my rusty swag picked up on the field, only to see the merchants inventory filled again only a ...

Re: All Dressed Up, And Nowhere To Go...
Be careful though... you can't reset your factions even if you start a new game with your existing team. So if you never want to use that town again, have at it! But currently in the state of the game, towns are more useful functional than not. You can make more than enough money and get the items ...

Re: All Dressed Up, And Nowhere To Go...
Thanks again to all. I realize that such questions are redundant [ ''wheres the WALLS''?, etc.], but the answers are a decent guidepost for those players who have reached this stage of the game to consider either 1. Leaving for a while, maybe several months and then come back with the new updates in...
Re: Police
South port have one, just on the left after the entrance Heft does too. Also on the left past the entrance gate. I had my ninja with a 5000 cat bounty slung on my shoulder who I swore was dead, but when I placed him in the cage with the ''gears/motion prompt'', he stood up in the cage and a message...

Re: Wall and Gate Priority!
The best solution I was able to come up with in my case was to forget town building for a time and simply work on strength/offense/defense by working with the Holy Empire guards near the gates of the the city [Eyesocket] and by running small hit-and-run attacks against ''starving'' bandits which slo...

Didn't make out the typo. That was ''Empire'' instead of ''United'' [ had football/soccer on the brain].

All Dressed Up, And Nowhere To Go...
OK. What we now have are 18 tough guys that were former 98 pd weaklings getting sand kicked in their faces by emaciated bandits who are now at 28/30 and bear ring sabres, with decent armor culled mostly from United and Holy Empire types. The outpost is rolling well with rum, fabric, and bread, all o...

Re: Lo-Fi Games and SunCreature Studios - A Match made in He
The brilliance of a game like KENSHI is the fact that it remains, even with Chris' long haul that has all of us cheering on his efforts, a thing of his own. I have seen what ''collboration'' has done before to both games and persons. When it works, [Harley and Davidson, Bogie/Bacall, Grant/Sherman ]...

Re: Some Questions and stuff
I must have gotten lucky. My crew of 11 hit upon a massive massacre of Holy Empire types northwest of Eyesocket with the smaller backpacks which allowed me to outfit everyone in red , use black shirts and ''football pad'' armor off the ninjas, and everyone with the ring swords taken from dead dust b...

Re: Kenshi Kapitalist Question
Thanks for the assist guys. It didn't turn out to be too bad a deal. My temporary solution was to load up my four guys with the big packs and fill them with the rum and other stuff and send them to Eyesocket nearby. This will do while I pile up cats for weapon/armor improvements and work the crew ou...

Kenshi Kapitalist Question
OK. After having survived enough waves of attacks that would make Custer look like a piker, I can now look with pride at a bustling village which is cranking out most everything that I need. Store counters are filled with items, ready to sell. With all of the main buildings I need, I name the town, ...

Re: Where do you prefer to build?
As I am without walls for the moment, with my back to a steep crag. [ at least with this setup, bandits and ninja can only hit me from three directions instead of four]. And once Chris gets the walls thing set, the crags will provide one section themselves.

Re: Deafining silence
I tried something differant. IMHO, Kenshi, as the name implies, as well as the characters and weapons, looks like a cross between a Kurosawa movie of warring samurai clans and Herberts DUNE. What I did was to download ancient Japanese court and samurai music played on shamisen [ three-stringed instr...

Re: What is the most amazing battle/slaughter you've seen so
I didn't even know what such a thing was when I had my Numbers 5 and 6 [ offense/defense] newbies out looking for swag in Death Valley. [outside of a Holy Empire town up on a hill]. As we got closer we could see the small '' 20 pts.right arm'' or ''10 pts.left leg'' font lighting up the air in the f...
