[0.69.2] Super Crash

This game crashes... frequently.

Its alpha, so I deal with it.

This time it was a super-crash, and here's the dump-file.

Thanks

Re: Outpost screenshots...

Are you sure fabric isn't a better value proposition for sale to a town? The fabric item is a 2x3, for a total of 6 squares. It weighs 1 KG, and has a default value of 300. Rum is a 4x3, for a total of 12 squares, exactly the size of two fabrics laid vertically on top of each other. It weighs 4 KG,...

Re: Outpost screenshots...

Edit: ow u only have 1 thingy to make alcohol ( ive got 4 of those and 3 ovens) :p yeah, my priority has been building materials for the moment. I was just looking at the trade value for rum though  so I will probably build a structure for the sole purpose of a distillery. Only thing about m...

Re: Trains

I agree that trains would make this feel like the fringes of a civilization rather than the remains of a civilization. That being said, this game is ripe to be modded into a cowboy/western RPG/RTS with forts, cavalry, indians, and conquistadors etc. It would be a compelling mod, but best left a mod....

Here are some shots of my little outpost, Devils End. I'm stocking up on materials at the moment, anticipating new research via updates. doing just about everything in terms of production at the moment. Just need those traders to start giving me money when they run through my saloon :) Say Cheese.jp...

Re: Dyes and Painting

I had this same idea, so I will res the thread to add a few items. I think it would be cool to have small gardens where you grow indigo, or whatever small red flower to use as dyes, then you could have an alchemy bench where you research new dye techniques etc. You could also grow medicines like alo...

Farms, and wholesalers

It occurred to me while there exists a market for goods, there I am the only one with a farm in the game. I think it would be interesting if the NPCs had farms, and villages. This would add not only an interesting ambiance, but it could become a means of getting goods at wholesale values that could ...

Re: Families

Could be interesting, would add reason for factions... I had a similar idea for some sort of option for burial of your dead peoples. First thought was graves, then I was thinking mausoleum, which would be more likely with bloodlines. It would also make running into the wrong person in town much more...

Re: Money in game problem

Here is the tutorial in all of its MS-Paint/ screenshot glory. Your mileage may vary, but as I understand this program, we are editing RAM registers, not Harddrive data, so until you press "Save" or F5, nothing is permanent. Give it a shot if you like. http://www.downloadsource.net/15746/G...

Re: Money in game problem

I have had this happen a few times. Pretty annoying. there are apparently a couple ways to solve it from what I have read online, though I have only had success with one method. First, you need to sell one item that is higher in "trade value" than your present debt-glitch. I havent made th...

Re: Newcomer, first impressions

thanks for the replies, yeah, I have since done some reading on the different subforums and understand the nature of multiplayer limitations, Thanks for the input, it is brilliant as it stands. I think its time I learned some modding techniques so I can start making useful content for the community.

Re: Complete Construction Set Tutorial and Important Links [

Thanks for the tutorial! I look forward to getting setup to learn some modding/modeling. One question that I have regarding user created content is how we might be able to program interactions, if thats even a possibility. In your tutorial, we are editing a tool that already has interaction function...

Re: Research should be more Complicated...

this sounds pretty cool to me. If certain clans had technologies, which you acquired either by force, purchase, or persuasion/permission. Its another reason to make the isolated castle a less viable solution all by its self, and adds meaning to exploration and visiting different towns. I would like ...

Re: Mountain path carving.

I'd settle for being able to carve the paths already in the mountains that are impassable. I've seen this happen all over: places you can tell were designed for your characters to pass through, but there's a slight cliff face that's like 20 feet long that stops you. Most recently, I was traveling i...

Re: Auto-Pause

if u need to leave for a while then pause ur game ? then if u want to make up for lost time speed up your game. :p obviously, but there are situations where this could be useful even when you are sitting at your desk. If you had 2 parties and the one you weren't watching was attacked, aside from no...

Re: Morale

I didnt see anything in a quick scan of the feature requests sticky, so my apologies. I am glad to hear there are things like this in the works already. An expansion of the idea I had would be a meditation bonus; if a kenshi was intending to go to battle, they could pull out their prayer roll and me...

Re: New members say "Hi"

Just found this thread. I have been busy posting feature suggestions already as this game has me pretty excited and I am typically full of ideas, however useful they may be. I really like the game, I picked it up on Steam recently, and have enjoyed letting too much of my time go to it already. It se...

Morale

I have 15 slaves that work all day and night and only stop to fight off bandits and heal. an interesting dynamic would be morale, where they need to have a certain number of amenities, and they will auto deviate to do what they need, ie sleep, eat, go to the bath house etc. Elements that could be in...

Mountain path carving.

How cool would it be if a mountain that was impassable could be carved to create a small vertical passage. You could then reach a plateau on which you could build an outpost of some sorts. This would allow fortifications to become extremely defensible, at the cost of much time in the creation/ferryi...
