Re: Arrow volley! Also, horses.

An axe is a hammer with a blade.....powerful blows that can cut into or crush armor, but horrible recovery times and in order to maximize their force they can really only cut 2 ways, making them predictable. Swords are more general purpose able to cut from 2 directions but also stab and can quickly ...

Re: Stealth Kills and Assassinations

They confirmed town sieges and the like...so it's not out of the possibility. Having someone climb the walls and sneak attack the guards so when they open the door the town can be attacked without going to full alert immediately. And I mean....there's already an assassination skill in game...I wonde...

Re: Slaving / First aid enemies / Wounded Wagons

It won't be. The bounty system requires you to be able to keep a target alive, so being able to apply pick them up and apply first-aid clearly makes sense, as does being able to use it on anyone you please. You can attack anyone, so you should also be able to heal anyone. Enslavement is already conf...

Re: Permanent state of unconsciousness

From what I understood you shouldn't heal at all unless bandaged, and only when 0 or above...with negatives requiring bed rest to recover. Currently I have characters that will heal constantly, even in deep negatives, with no first-aid. Characters that heal according to the above, and characters who...

Re: What do you want next?

A hold ground/stay here/passive command would be nice. I know it'll be in eventually, but sooner the better.

Re: What does the weapon 2 slot do?

Could have a quiver to go in the bag slot (with varying sizes), that if they have room in the bag, they'll automatically collect any ammo for their equipped ranged weapon within a certain radius, when not in combat, allowing them to restock some of their supplies quickly after battles without having...

Re: Music and Sound update

Not at all a fan of VA. Grunts and such, sure, but full conversations...errr...VA is very much a pet peeve of mine. While I do agree that used well it can add to the immersion, more often then not it's done badly (especially in a game of this scale where you need a huge cast to do it justice.....I a...

Re: [Idea] Severed Limbs & Robotics Incorporation

No bleeding, and much higher resistance to damage, but they don't naturally heal and have to be repaired with fairly costly repair kits for minor damage (0-100), with a greatly increased repair time if attempted outside of a shop with robotics equipment (efficiency of repair based on the repairers r...

Re: Cutting limbs off!

Depending on how advanced the higher research level robotic prosthetics become, being able to WILLINGLY remove a limb, in the relative safety of a medics tent (rather then losing it in battle), might be a lucrative opportunity for boosting your soldiers performance or resistance to damage. A typical...

Re: Duel wielding?

Step 1: Read a copy of the book of 5 Rings (It's public domain, so you can probably find a copy online). Step 2: Implement it. He specifically mentions that wielding two full size katana is clunky and stupid,, since they get in each other's way, and wielding two wakazashi don't have the ranged neede...

Re: Choice of character's Rules of Engagement

Relatively sure that's already planned, just not in yet (probably around the time of multiple squads). Though it would be nice to get it in ASAP. At the very least a stand-ground command.

Re: Kendo for training.

I'd say just let people straight up spar. The cost is the time needed to recuperate or use first-aid. Using non-lethal weapons can cause damage, but it's automatically considered treated, and has no real risks but also slows the rate at which they build their combat skills by half. Using actual weap...

Re: Squad Heirarchy

It's doable....as long as the captain is up and fighting, his squad lose less morale, based on his leadership stat (grows when designated as a captain and in battle) when damaged, but if a squad leader is KO'd his squad takes a big morale hit and starts losing it faster (with a small chance of indiv...

Re: Character Progression Trees

It's pretty accurate, actually. As Musashi said, only 4 people can realistically attack a single target safety at once with swords (as they are currently), at maximum...so if one man can defeat four, he can defeat 4000.
