Hi, I am pretty sure i read in FAQ or somewhere, that Chris is not telling us WHERE and WHEN is the game happening. But only thing which feels weird in this game for me is that this huge, void, not-suitable-for-living desert is FILLED with people, i can see people dying every moment, tons of bandits...

I don't like how is the terrain blocked around Catan, and after few tries a found myself settled on a hill above Port South.
