Re: Post-Update Bug: Lockpicking. 0.70.2
Here's another. Just got it from wandering around, I guess. I have single-thread correction and graphics tuned down (no shadows).

Post-Update Bug: Lockpicking. 0.70.2
The game's been working better since Steam downloaded a new update. This new crash was caused by a different action though. I was five minutes in when I started trying to lockpick my way into the Slave Trading camp; as soon as I succeeded, the game crashed.

Re: Can't start the game crash? 0.70.1 EXP
It seems like the game has been patched at least somewhat; I was able to play five minutes into the game this time around. But then it crashed. So, here's a new report. It might be that very same problem, or it might not be, I'm not too sure yet.

Re: Can't start the game crash? 0.70.1 EXP
Killing foliage and grass detail seems to have resolved my problem; I set all to "0" and now, the thing runs. Smoothly, in fact. We'll see if this keeps up. EDIT: Never mind. I'd be pissed off, but I bought this game back when it was still $7.00, so whatevs. EDIT2: Here's another attachmen...

Re: Can't start the game crash? 0.70.1 EXP
NEW INFO: Alright, so I took it to the minimalist resolution, lowered the graphics all the way, and the game finally started to play, for a few seconds. Here's where the game freaked out and stopped: I side-swiped the screen to get a look around me, and what happened then? The game crashed. So the c...

Can't start the game crash? 0.70.1 EXP
Every time I try to start a New Game, Kenshi crashes. I have a bug report Attached. I've zeroed out the settings, done a full re-install, and made sure the game was added to Nvidia. It has done NOTHING to help me.

Re: Trains and railroads
No trains. If they add trains, do you realize how many people will be screaming: "I want revolvers!" I know I would be, so no trains.

Re: Conceding the bestiary
I think we should all start wishing small, and hope the engine Chris has to work with has the spunk to go bigger when it comes down to it. Imagine the thing trying to walk across the map; do you want something with feet that won't properly collide with the terrain? It'd look cheap. I wish for a craz...

Re: Catan/Capan/Catun... to Captain Deathbeard on Renaming.
I liked Cat'ion the best because it's sort of a joke; "Always use caution when dealing with Cat'ion... " Makes the faction pretty memorable. That said; everything really needs a strong storytelling aspect about it, whenever that time comes. This game feels very "east asia meets roman ...

Catan/Capan/Catun... to Captain Deathbeard on Renaming.
Yes I understand this "*Popular" boardgame probably forced you to rename the town and therefore the arms company and faction ultimately... But... Cat'ion sounds like a great name. As does... Cat'ion. Caton. Catia. Cation. Catom. Catop. Catose. Catesia. Catastic! Catopolis. Catapoli. Catdog...

Re: Leg size, height, and frame: A land of dwarfs and uberta
Indeed, selective breeding is a successful strategy though, which is why I considered it as an explanation for the mass numbers. There are "double muscled" cattle like the Belgian blue, which are developed by the breeders selecting a line of traits specific to heavy muscling, emphasizing t...

Mod will not load properly.
I am getting an error code "the mod [kenshimodular (which I named the mod)] failed to load and will be skipped."
Why is this? I entered my key for the game, so it shouldn't be the demo protection acting up this late, as everything else is working fine. What's wrong here?

How did you make this?
Where did you find the other character templates?

Re: Leg size, height, and frame: A land of dwarfs and uberta
While I agree that the NPC generation should utilize Gaussian curves, or templates to steer towards, I also want to point out that the setting is not necessarily on earth. Expecting what's common in our world could indeed be mistaken. It could turn out these people are actually more genetically var...

Re: Combat Stance/Behaviour Options Aggressive/Passive/Defen
If you want a passive worker, just take the sword out of his inventory. He won't run after anybody, then, but instead, he will flee if the enemy gets close enough. Just as the citizens do around cities. I learned this by making an unfortunate citizens life even worse; he was disarmed before, I gave ...

Hardcore mode: NO FAST TRAVEL.
Nothing is more hardcore than not having fast travel to make the game easier for you. I will admit, I was a bit disappointed to hear that fast travel will be eventually be implemented in this game. One of the reasons I started to like Kenshi so much is because it didn't make things easy on you; but ...

Leg size, height, and frame: A land of dwarfs and ubertalls.
One thing that I've noticed while playing the game as the whitest guy around (decided to make a blondeish Charlton Heston character) is that getting the height right for my character was tough. Most of the NPCs either are affected by dwarfism, or are super tall, compared to the average 100 default h...

Re: Befriending the Sand ninja
If I knocked someone out in real life and then carried them to my bed I might be facing criminal charges. I seriously doubt they would be liking me more unless there was a bad case of stockholm syndrome going on. Why is reality so buggy? Criminal charges? Oh jeeze... Anyways, Because earth is still...

Transit: Natural resources, eat/sleep (camp); a wilderness.
I pretty much brainstormed these ideas as I was in transit from city to city; I found myself mostly pressing the fast forward button in order to get from place to place, either getting myself to a state of boredom, or getting in a few run-ins with banditos and sand ninjas. I realized during this tim...
