Yes and yes.
First is first hand, second is based on reading bug reports where it wouldn't save that someone had purchased the game, which only prevented him from issuing orders and further gaining skills.
Saving is done with the F5 key, loading via the F9 key.

Re: Body Decay
An interesting article. However, leaving the save ability in would provide good feedback on how well the medical system is balanced. I guess I would say that it should stay in at least through the beta and I still doubt whether removing it will actually dissuade people from saving if they are using ...

Re: Body Decay
I never said there was a harm. But you are taking the point that I'm deviating from what the Dev had initially planned for the game. When it is in fact you who are. I am not, in fact, stating that. I am simply remarking on the futility of attempting to take the course that you (I can't find any pla...

Re: Body Decay
Obviously you'd be able to save on exit and load that back. But fine, if you don't want to play the game the way it was intended then go ahead and cheat the system. It just means the game was too hard for you. The point was two-fold: 1) The functionality already exists from the developers point of ...

Re: Body Decay
<_< Saving/Loading only helps you if you don't think things through, there's no reason to have it otherwise. Bzzt. Saving and loading must be done if you are to play the same instance of the game for more than one session. Further, if loading a previously saved point in the game is not provided for...

Re: Tips for Skill Raising
Funny, I'm playing the demo and I have only had my skills drop once (the first time I got them higher than 1). Aside from that, I haven't had this problem.SynysterOne wrote: But it's bugged and it just resets you back to 1.

Re: "Evaluation Version"
The update worked fine for me and I am still on the demo. As such, whatever issue was causing your problem was probably also causing the issue with the download. In other words, the problem should be solved in full.

Re: Game impressions
The traveling merchants pay you in the loot they don't ever take from the other guys. Though it would be nice if they would: a) Pay you the monetary pittance that your protection is worth b) Wait for their other guards to heal up before moving That way I wouldn't be playing the ranged medic so often...

Re: bug report example
Also, by consistency I suppose you mean "Attempts already undertaken by the user to fix it"? Kind of. Consistency has two parts: 1) How well defined are the steps? If the bug is inconsistent, some steps have not been figured out yet. This tells other users and the programmer that the bug ...

Re: bug report example
You might want to include consistency in the form, as mentioned in Chris' crash reporting thread. --- Posting in an already started thread with the same bug should still include the following information (anything in parentheses might not be needed): Version: 0.21 Alpha Steps to Reproduce: (only if ...

Re: Release coming soon...
Dropbox might work, but you could run into problems with having too many users trying to download at once, since you would essentially be leveraging an "extra" feature. BitTorrents might be feasible, though some ISPs might throttle the traffic. Finally, after a lot of searching, swmirror ...
