Re: Tips for Skill Raising

Mainly alt+tabbing because if I don't, when I reload things will be gone entirely. I suffer badly from the "Mobs disappear" bug.

Re: Tips for Skill Raising

Wait, what? You lost me now. Get into combat, get the skill points raised. End combat. Screen shot via the PrtScr/SysRq key on your keyboard, above your arrow keys. Then heal yourself and screen shot it again after the stats have dropped. Yeah, alt+tabbing out with a print screen req crashes the ga...

Re: Tips for Skill Raising

Hmm, it keeps happening, but for some reason trying to screenshot crashes me as soon as I alt+tab out while in combat, so I can't get a same 'load' screenshot.

Re: Tips for Skill Raising

OK, so after a fight, I had a couple skills raise., But suddenly, while healing, the skills went back down to 1. Is this supposed to happen?

Re: Favorite parts so far?

Given some of the bugs (Mainly the disappearing townspeople one) - my only real cool moment was stumbling on the aftermath of a big battle between two factions and finding genuine armor and awesome swords. Yay looting!

Re: Tips for Skill Raising

I actually have been using the 'lure to the guards' trick.

But even then I end up in a fight with one bandit and constantly defending, never attacking.

Tips for Skill Raising

So in the games I've been playing, I can't seem to get my attack skill raised... at all. Defense? Constantly, as a dust bandits attack me. I never seem to get to swing back but keep trying to parry. Eventually I need to run and hopefully make it somewhere safe, and start first aid. So First aid goes...

Re: Game impressions

I suppose I don't mind if I have the mod or not - I just want to know how to raise anything that isn't defense! Right now I'm at 12 defense, but can't ever even get in an attack. Let alone get the stat to rise. So only defense and medic ever gets raised. I can't seem to find anyplace to train or any...

Re: some basic questions.

Paused or not makes no difference. Talk is the only thing it lets me do since it's a default for clicking on a non-hostile NPC. Follow? Sometimes yes, most of the time no. Did you try holding the right click button down on the NPC, then, while still holding right click, drag the cursor down to sele...

Re: some basic questions.

I'm not sure if this counts as a bug or what. But it seems REALLY hard to get the menu to 'follow' and such to stay up. You hold the right click, but it doesn't often stay there or let me select any option from the list. Or am I just doing something wrong? It just seems like most of the time it's ju...

Re: Game impressions

I think it is fun, though currently trying to figure out a way to raise my attack stats, since so far only my defense is going up. And not fast at that. Though looting has me in good equipment at least! But it's just being a battlefield scavenger.

Re: New members say "Hi"

Hi. Can I go now? I did what the thread said! ;) More seriously, cool to see this game. I was an early adapter of another one with a similar model - Mount and Blade - and it remains one of my favorite games of all time. So I'm really looking forward to getting this and watching it evolve over the ye...
