Perhaps this should be moved to bugs section? Although the question was about the economy of the game, it would seem this may not be common knowledge.
Or somebody can start a new thread on the Bug Reports page, at least we are then doing things properly.

Hi guys, First time posting here, I just wanted to express my concern on the infinite money bug from the traveling merchant.
