'Belt' option in inventory?
First things first, I've been following the game's progress over the past 4-5 years, and the progress has been phenomenal.Tthe latest additional weapons update is fantastic, and I'm really happy to see the game's development progressing so well. I noticed that the Inventory screen now has a 'Belt' o...

Re: [WIP] New weapon mod - 19 weapon and more to come !
Nice, I've been itching for new weapons! Good work, they look solid.
What kind of stats do these weapons have, and will bandits/NPC's spawn with them at all? Also - what weapon skill do the weapons scale off of?

Re: Chris.
Hey Chris, My last post may seem very critical, but that's because I want your game to succeed. I want it to be a mind-blowing success. It's rare to see a developer take on a task such as yours. Kenshi is original, innovative, and ambitious. You're going a fantastic job right now, keep up the good w...

Re: We need updates
I've read what a lot of you guys have said, and I do agree with a lot of your points. However, a lot of people are basing their argument on the fact that providing weekly updates will be very time consuming. Just to clarify, I am not looking for an huge update every week. Like I said before, a tiny ...

We need updates
Happy Holidays everyone, I hope everybody's had a great holiday season. I'm created this new thread because something has been bothering me about the Kenshi development cycle for quite a while now. I really like what Chris has done so far, and I understand he is the only person developing the game (...

Re: Spreading the game to a wider audience.
It's very, very difficult to use social media to reach people effectively. You can't reach everybody, you have to have a target audience in mind. I think that Kenshi (aka Chris) should create a twitter account. I personally, would like more info on the progress of the game. With a twitter account, i...

Question about melee weapons
My question raises from the Kenshi logo -- it looks like a figure about to stab somebody with a spear, which raises a question. What sort of melee weapons can we expect to see in the future? I know that we have a few different types of swords right now (Heavy, Katana, Sabre, and Hacker), but will we...
Re: Slavery?
Actually, adding onto what Blxz said: I think that there should be some factions that are pro-slavery or anti-slavery. Depending on your actions, you can potentially alienate yourself from the anti-slavery factions. How would this work? When I say pro-slavery factions, I would imagine that these fac...

Re: I made a song for the game's score
I agree with Blxz, I think this would make for some pretty good title music, but I can't really see this in-game. It might be because Kenshi is pretty much all desert right now, which is why your demo (which sounds more tribal) wouldn't really fit in-game very well imo. Also, about your track itself...

Why do you like Kenshi?
I noticed that a lot of people enjoy Kenshi, but I'm just curious to see why each person is so excited about Kenshi. Kenshi is unique -- it's trying to create a whole new "genre" of game. It's similar to M&B, but the amount of control you have over each aspect of the game is amazing. P...

Re: story time
My character will be named "Dwoddy," and he'll use no weapons. He's extremely short, but also extremely buff. He's decked out in the best armor in the game, and to make up for his lack of weapons, he should have a ludicrous strength level, maybe 100? Can str go above 100? If it can, he sho...

Re: Strength is too easy to train!
If you have your character carry another person around all the time, it greatly increases the weight. Better yet, if both you and the other character are decked out in heavy armor, it can boost carry weights to over 300.

Re: Mod idea "muskets"
I would actually be all for having muskets in the game. In terms of balance, if we're going to be having bows & arrows, crossbows and turrets (for city defences), muskets could fit in reasonably well. To balance them, I think that they should be very, very inaccurate when a person with low profi...

Not sure when the new update is, Chris seems to have a new update every 2 weeks or so.
That said Hammy, you should try and use more commas.

Re: Simple Suggestion
Awesome! I really look forward to seeing strength as an enabler to do more difficult things. EXAMPLE: if you were to enable dual wielding (example only),a weaker character can probably only dual wield two one-handed katanas. However, a really really powerful character (strength level 99?) can dual w...

Re: Got a "Kickstarter" going!
Thanks for the response so far guys, I'm glad you agreed. This all boils down to Chris being the only man on the project, making videos and doing weekly updates (All the coding) and responding to forum texts is allot of work. Chris seems to be doing a decent job balancing it, and balancing it is key....

Re: Got a "Kickstarter" going!
A note on getting news of your Kickstarter out there: You probably want people to spread word, so hitting up gaming sites and forums would be a good start. I've started a threat on Reddit's /r/gaming -- lots of indie games have seen considerable funding come from Reddit. I think it'd be a good chanc...

Re: What do you want next?
Honestly, I think that enabling multithreading is the best step forward. Getting a good engine and a good base to build upon is probably the best idea. Why would you add features that would later be conflicted with engine upgrades? Its best to build a solid base that CAN handle massive armies before...

Re: So what weapons do you prefer?
I would imagine that in the final release of the game, certain weapons will be easier to master. Given that heavy weapons become so powerful later, you still need to remember that levelling it up early game sucks, you can't block any 2-hit combos for a while. Also, heavy weapons are ridiculously slo...
