Re: Has anyone else seen "good" grade armor
Ah... that would explain it. I have been manually removing the armour to the storage and therefore plenty of putting things over one and another, and triggered the bug this way.

Re: Has anyone else seen "good" grade armor
I have got two different sets of Mercenary Plate, one of which is the standard grade, whereas the other is not graded, but definitely higher in quality, but lower in value. The standard grade set, I'm sure I crafted it, but I can't be 100% sure that I crafted the other one as well. I have seen the '...

Re: [0.61.1] Stun damage recovery is slower than bandaged
The way I see it, stun damage is more like blunt force trauma, which would explain why bandage is useless. Since I have no idea of the recovery times between a cut by an edged weapon (ouch) and a bruise from a steel pipe (ouch, too), a treated injury (bandaged wound) should recover faster than an un...

Re: Preparation for upcoming features
On second thought, I think it's a bad idea as it would turn my screen into a security system with CCTV on all my units! But jokes aside, I'm sure the system will be stabilized eventually so that constant character switching doesn't tax the system to the point of crashing. However, it would...

Re: Preparation for upcoming features
The greyed-out 'Assassination' and 'Stealth' skills hint of Commandos-like squad missions, whereas the skill 'Mass combat' likely refers to coordination during big fights. The implementation of these skills will definitely satisfy the expectations of a lot of people, although my concerns are still a...

Re: Preparation for upcoming features
Those are nice thoughts about Endurance and the associated Stamina stats! One thing that struck me about all this discussion about armies and such, is that Kenshi is being touted as 'an open-ended, squad-based strategy RPG', so I would imagine the game to be more along the lines of Jagged Alliance a...

Re: How many mounted crossbows does it take your men to prot
Yes! I've had people almost dying from friendly fire, which is why I would at most have 6 turrets on the two walls adjacent to the gate. Bleeding damage from upgraded crossbow is just as likely to kill my people as well as bandits. By chance, I'm actually in an area whereby I could play 'tower defen...

Re: How many mounted crossbows does it take your men to prot
Just to diffuse the situation further... I only have 4 and it's sufficient to wipe out most assaults, but then again, I'm only playing on 0.5x squad size... plus the fact that some of the enemies can 'climb' onto the ledge from outside (while my gate is intact) to attack my turret gunners so turret ...

Preparation for upcoming features
With Kenshi being out for some time now, a lot of people have devised their key to success with the existing features. However, we know a lot more stuffs is coming, and some of these features will totally change how people play their existing game. For example, simply by looking at the character sta...

Re: How many Kenshi does it take to change a lightbulb?
Day 81 into my game. The old research bench I have in Brink is still there the last time I checked it, so it could have been a minor glitch? Continuing on topic, my current base setup and job allocation if I want everyone to be doing something: 1) Plate and Chain armour crafting + Plate beating and ...

Re: Broken Wall/Gate Pathing
Just to add more details: I built my base in an area whereby there is only 1 path in, and I built a gate there naturally. Following the suggestions, I built another gate somewhere along my walls, as an alternative path out of base and the gate leads to an inaccessible cliff so no security issues the...

Re: How many Kenshi does it take to change a lightbulb?
I guessed its all down to how you want to enjoy the game, which also goes to show much freedom Chris has given us with that much free-form. Before I lost my save games, I had like 5 people manning the turrets, which kind of stops small groups of bandits, and soften bigger groups before I go melee wi...

Re: How many Kenshi does it take to change a lightbulb?
As a matter of fact, I have gotten to the point of automating my Stone and Ore mining, and hence freeing up the crew to do something else. As PnzrNorm pointed out, there is seemingly more jobs than hands available in the current version of the game, and so the list created by PnzrNorm would be usefu...

Re: Train of Bodyguard Jobs
I've encountered a different kind of pathfinding issues though. When I'm done exploring some faraway city, I usually box-select my characters (or even just one) and either 'bodyguard' or 'follow' someone at home base to get them to auto-route home. More often than not, at least one of them will get ...

Re: How many Kenshi does it take to change a lightbulb?
The Roadmap hints at certain jobs that require constant working (i.e food/water production to feed your people), plus the research (and the description within) needed for Stone/Steel processor to cut down on manpower while increasing efficiency kinda hints of some need of manpower management. Multit...

Re: GATE BUG
Just to clarify the workabout, the second gate has to be built pretty much along the same length of walls as your first gate. I tried building a disconnected gate + wall somewhere else within my outpost and my guys were still running to the main entrance to open the gate before getting anything else...

How many Kenshi does it take to change a lightbulb?
No, this is not about a cheesy joke. Instead I was simply doing a headcount of the number of workers required to fully staff all the tasks. So far, after taking into consideration the upgrades and automation, it seemed that a town would require about 22 people to fully man every single workstation, ...

Re: 0.64-0.67 Base issue (hard to describe in subject line)
I have no idea how to load his save game into mine for testing, but I think I know what he means for A) If you build a mine, gate, wall or any of those primary production structures, they are registered as being under the rule of the nearest City. For example, when I build an Ore mine at the first a...
