Re: V0.70 Gar Backpack
On a forum I frequent there's a way you can resize the image directly in your post, but trying to use the same BBcode here doesn't appear to work [img w=674 h=380]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/32979935861473658/B9D2CFBA08D480AE353A5C739BC54EC001C39E1C/[/img] It's unfortunate, but if you can ge...

Re: Oh my FFFFFFff.... I want the new world map *spasm*
Wow it's been a long time since I touched this game, or even posted at these forums. Anyways... I was honestly stunned when I saw the screenshots, the effort put into making vegetation is really paying off (I haven't been around so I don't actually know how much effort was put into the vegetation)....

Re: Kenshi atmosphere, in a Dark Horse comic??
It does remind me of it. I just flipped through and didn't read any of it.

Re: What do you want next?
I don't live in a desert but it looked strange that some of the grass was growing straight out of the sand. Some of it was growing out of a rocky/grassy texture on the ground from the looks of the video, though, which makes more sense. In the video there are windmills in the background rotating at a...
Re: Roads
Roads would be cool to have, they could reduce exhaustion from travelling, and provide some protection for newbies because of the trade caravans that use them. It always bugged me that the roads in M&B were just a texture on the map.

Re: Why's the price gone up?
This is why I bought Mount & Blade off of their website rather than Steam. They give you a key that's valid with Steam anyways so might as well =) Steam does tend to have really good sales though =p EDIT: Also, if this is like M&B, the price will go up as development reaches its more finishe...
Re: Infection
Keep in mind that you're not downing mugs of the stuff, you're using it like you would use hydrogen peroxide. (Unless you think drinking that is a good idea. A side note: it's not). I believe alcohol does get absorbed through the skin (and through your tongue and the flesh in your mouth, what fun) b...
Re: Animals
I did as well. I though there would be multiple biomes of sorts. At least I hope there will be. There's a reason I'm sick of deserts in modern games.Barooney wrote:I thought it was a wasteland until an Artist was hired?
Re: Bombs
When it says "Turrets" It's referring to crossbow/ballista and harpoon turrets. There could probably be mechanical weapons, like a repeating or self-loading crossbow or some sort, but I don't think early gunpowder weapons or canons are going to come into play.
Re: Animals
I believe there was a topic about animals for transportation, but I think Christ is leaning towards no? If he is, that's kinda weird, but it's his decision I guess. Maybe mounted combat is something he'd rather not focus on. I don't know if anyone has brought up attack dogs or animals yet, though. I...

Re: Suggestion: Sparring and training
In addition, those currently empty buildings that look like barracks should make use of those training dummies. Perhaps even have mechanical ones, or even just spinning pillars that can be use to train defense, At least for low level characters. This way someone who just started the game can start i...

Re: buying a shop and/or building
Assuming your characters will eventually be carrying around gear for building camps and surviving in the wilderness I can't imagine building a sling or stretcher of some sort would be too far fetched.

Re: [MOD] Kenshi Medieval Modification
Yeah, Mount & Blade is a good source for seeing what things are supposed to look like. I'm taking these images from the CRPG website, a mod for the game. Maybe he should do an Aketon (Padded Cloth) for light One Two some chain mail for Medium One Two Plate for Heavy One Two And a claymore: http:...

Re: [MOD] Kenshi Medieval Modification
Noblemen fight with shield and sword. ;D Not if its the Scottish Nobles wielding dirty great Claymores and killing more than their troops. :D Claymores are two-handed weapons. 8-) On topic: What kind of armor are you going to do? I think you should at least have a set of light, medium, and heavy ar...

Re: Voluntary Help
Just going back to the need for the Boe and Quartstaff, I remember someone said they wont want to shed blood, they just want to knock 'em over the head and walk away, so you will need some blunt wooden weapons. The problem is the enemies will be using swords, so when their characters get hit they w...
