Re: Music and Sound update
I like all the sound effects very much. Music, doesn't really matter that much as long as it is atmospheric. I really liked the music from the old trailers, always reminds my of the old spaghetti westerns ("A fistful of dollars"). But I also enjoy the music from the this new demo. Could wo...

It was built on the Ogre3D engine, which means C++ as the coding interface.

Pretty sure it does. Try the demo, if this works, then the full version does too.

Re: Specs + Opinion
I've been loving this game based on what I've played of it thus far, but it's just crazy that I have such trouble running this game on max settings. I mean, it's definitely not surprising, given the fact that this game is still in Alpha and optimization has no doubt not been started on yet. That be...

Re: Kenshi Informational Guide - Steam
Nice guide. Some points that you might consider to change: - Steam Punk, we had some discussion on this. I would not put it as a main theme. Post-apocalyptic is just fine (that's pretty much the overall consensus from previous discussion on that on this forum). - Factions are there. The behavior is ...

As far as I'm aware, Steam takes somewhere about 30% of the selling price.

Re: How can i register my game on steam?
Steam will redownload and put Kenshi in the normal Steam folder, so you actually have it twice then. You can unistall or delete your old installation, or keep it as backup. Edit: Watch it with your savegames though, as they are in the root directory of the Kenshi installation. So you must copy the &...

Re: How can i register my game on steam?
What do you mean by "Never used Steam before"? Why do you so desperately want to register the game key on Steam then, if you don't use Steam anyway? This is more a service for the people who actually want to register it with Steam; if you don't use Steam, well... you don't have to for this...

Re: How can i register my game on steam?
Switch Steam to "Beta" to register your old key.
Alternatively, wait until Chris has resolved it in a manner, that you can register it without the switch.

Re: Congratulations and questions regarding pre-ordering
Being a veteran in these forums (though low post count, but I've been around, trust me) I can pretty much say, that Chris seems like the guy, who just wants to code his game. He doesn't seem the greedy type. As long as he can live from the sales, he's probably not interested in more than that. Of co...

Re: Was about to pre-order Kenshi....
The PhysX logo is a legal requirement. Performance will struggle more when I add the new, more detailed character artwork in, but I will also optimise the performance over time to try and balance it out. How about adding the additional info "Does not require an NVIDIA graphics card to work&quo...

Re: Was about to pre-order Kenshi....
You are confused. It's just a physics engine, used for collision. You don't need an NVIDIA card to run it. A large proportion of modern games use PhysX and you probably don't notice. Maybe take this PhysX thing out of the splash screen/product description, and people get less confused. Now that you...

Re: Move Kenshi to a New Game Engine?
Well, to put you all at ease, I don't mind the suggestion, but no I can't change the engine, it's not that simple, it would be more like making a new game entirely. And unfortunately you can't just convert C++ code to C# code, this isn't a few scattered functions and scripts we're talking about her...
