Re: Suggestion - Random item generation

I indeed noticed the variety of weapons within the same manufacturer and thought that it was nice, I just didn't realized it was randomly generated as I seemed to find always the same 4 or 5 same exact weapons within a given weapon model and manufacturer, which would stack in my inventory, so I just...

Ah that explains, and makes perfect sense. Thanks for the explanations, guess I'll keep bullying for some time then, they had it coming anyway.

Re: Mod idea "muskets"

Although I would not want that in Kenshi as an official addition, I know I'd eventually try and play a firearm mod if it were to stands up to Kenshi's standards and is implemented in a balanced way.

Suggestion - Random item generation

I didn't see it as a planned feature nor any discussions about it, sry if I'm wrong. I believe that a random item generation, specifically weapons and armors, plays a huge role in sandbox games in keeping the player interested as the quest for better loot is vastly longer and funnier with randomly g...

Re: Exponential skill requirement increase

I don't mean to revive an old thread but I don't feel like re creating a new thread that talks about just the same thing. So a curve indeed had to be added in skill learning, that's a good thing, but is it me or is it just a bit too hard now to level the skills past a certain point? I got my squad t...

Re: Loot

As far as i know there is no way to steal money yet, it's just here to value tradings and has no "physical" place in the world yet, it's just a number. What you can do is go to a friendly trader (so you can trade) and sell him stuff to get all his money (stuff that you can acquire by first...

Re: Damage

Wow i am getting stunned alot  Well, this is called stun damage, but I think you could see it as bruises and minor injuries, stun damage is, as far as I could experience, damage that is mitigated by your armor, the better your armor the more stun damage you'll suffer instead of regular damag...

Re: Core.Exe

Yup _core.exe is indeed just the game, i get a lot of that too, it sounds like when the game gets too demanding it crashes. Or rather, when the game is trying to process too many things, cause when i monitor my proc and ram, there's plenty of room for more load.

Re: Some healing bugs

I have this one too, as I dedicate one char of my squad to be mostly a medic, he alone does the healing after the battles. Problem is that whenever i hit the Medic button with him selected so that he heal all the squad most of the time he will heal several characters successfully but then will stop ...

It means I agree to what you said, more specifically, it means that what I quoted, sums up pretty well my thoughts on the matter in a concise and pertinent way.

Re: The Spread the Word Thread

Forget all this. All you got to do is try to make Notch tweet once about Kenshi. Then this game will grab hundreds of sales in a week or two and the snow ball effect is started.

Re: What do you want next?

I concur with all of the above, player constructions should be a high end goal, very expensive and hard to get. Both in terms of money but also in terms of finding the right things to do it, like resources that could be a bit hard to come by, that you'd have to stack for some times. In terms of labo...

Re: Right arm and legs

For the leg thing, you probably noticed when a arm status goes under 0 that physX takes control of it and just let it float there making it useless and taking it out of the character animations, simulating (with success imo) the broken limb. But that can't happen with the legs since even if it goes ...

Re: Ragdoll fun

ahah yea that happened to me too a few times, though not on that scale, it was just a bandit here and there that would jump 20 feets off the ground after a huge killing blow. I believe this is caused by PhysX calculating the amount of force applied on a body given the amount of damage it receives, o...

Re: New feature - Game mechanics: Scout

Are you thinking of the spot skill the thieves class have from baulders Gate/ Neverwinter Knights games? ( The one you can find hidden items with) Hmm its been too long since I've played those games, but i think that yes perception could be the attribute related to discover hidden things, passively...

Suggestion - Game mechanics: Scout

Hi everyone, First of all I'd like to salute the community as I just bought Kenshi and registered after trying the demo for a few hours, a bit overpriced in my opinion, in its current state $5 would be a fair price, like Minecraft in its early stages. But I'm still glad in helping funding the develo...
