Re: Installing 2 versions on 1 PC...is it possible?
I timed this just right, apparently. Steam force-updated my 74.32 to, umm, 91.19 I think? And didn't have my squad at all ready for the move. I now have 74.32 running out of the C:\Games folder in 64 bit version using DX 11. It actually runs better than running the game out of the Steam\steamapps\co...

Re: Installing 2 versions on 1 PC...is it possible?
I'll experiment with this. I think what you mean is that I need to copy the Kenshi folder out of steamapps\common to somewhere like C:\Games. Then, I can use the .exe startup file in the new location of the game folder to start that version of the game. After that, I can opt into the beta on Steam. ...

Installing 2 versions on 1 PC...is it possible?
I'm playing 74.32 on my desktop PC. Is anyone running 2 versions on one PC? Not enough coffee yet this morning, so this may classify as a dumb question. However, I would like to be able to shut down the stable version and start up the experimental version in order to help with QA and bug reporting. ...
Re: FOOD!!
I've been reading about that, and it sounds like good changes. Also, my apologies for putting in my $.02 when I'm not even currently playing a version that includes this hunger dynamic
That's going to change very soon now!
Re: Poll: Map
I'm new to Kenshi, but I have over a hundred hours into the 74.32 version. I'm still playing that, and having a blast. I've watched a few playthroughs of the new map, and I'm not really sure why it even exists. The sandy/desert biome had nothing wrong with it, that I can see. The direction I would l...

Re: crafting armor and tech tree
DISCLAIMER: Still playing 74.32, but some of this should still apply. Normal crafting progression goes like this: 1. Build or buy at least a small shack. 2. Build a basic starter research bench. 3. Research everything available, including the crafting skill (Weaponsmith, Armorsmith, etc.). Best NPC ...
Re: FOOD!!
Like many things, this has a proven solution: Include this "Hunger Games" mode as a Difficulty choice. The Fallout 4 model comes to mind. For those who want "Survival Difficulty", let them choose to play that way. Make "Normal Difficulty" the default start, and either r...

Re: Hi,is there currently a stable version ?
tl;dr: 74.32 is playable. Just don't overbuild and *especially* don't build too many lights. Keep shadows disabled. Even then, I'm getting crashes averaging probably 1 every 2 or 3 hours. Still, I'm having a blast :) My gaming rig is a new build: i7 quad core, 980 ti GPU and 16 GB RAM. Game installe...

Re: [0.74.32-x64] Squad portraits disappear after loading s
Update: Starting the game in 32-bit mode fixed this issue. Starting it in 64-bit mode is not a good idea for this version of the game (0.74.32), which is the default game version on Steam.

[0.74.32-x64] Squad portraits disappear after loading save.
Loading the game from the main startup screen seems to work fine. However, loading a save from within the game causes the squad portraits to disappear. Problem occurs in both windowed and full screen mode, and at varying 16:9 resolutions. I've tried both DX9 and DX11 rendering subsystems. DX11 won't...
