Re: Last to Post - Is the winner
I have returned. Love the animals. Eagerly awaiting the next update! No *CENSORED* though?
Edit: And I see the bees thing is still going on.

Yeah, I am still having trouble with this. Seen a few items sold but I have 4 counters full of items and a veritable parade of traders walking by my gate.

Re: Rules for Hardcore Mode?
Kenshi is pretty good already about not giving you much for free. I think when limb removal is added you will start to see the game differentiate between 'hard' and 'soft' core through a toggle concerning this option. Having your men immediately and potentially permanently incapacitated....(not to m...

Re: A problem of scale
they all have a similar weakness, halfway through once you've build that mighty empire and formiddable army or in M&B you capture a castle or two...the challenge is no longer there. This is a problem that most open world non scripted game design suffers from. Perhaps since you can start anywher...

But....I don't think the same degree of manipulation is open to you on the new models as was on the previous male models. I miss my virtual ogres. I had a giant fragment ax wielder as well...now...he is just 'slightly larger'.

Re: MOD - Eternal Vigilance: The Price of Pastry
Any progress? First off, thank you for the interest. To answer you question, sadly no not at the moment. I was expecting Chris to release the graphic updates, and this would require a complete redo. (And if he has, I apologize...I am stuck on my laptop as my computer died). You guys want stoves tha...

Re: Pursuable martial art (soft and hard) schools
Sounds like making 10 martial art styles would be hard to me. Chris has stated there will be unarmed combat, and there are already several weapon styles. Perhaps you meant 'training sites'. You will have these essentially. You can assign new recruits to training dummies, and (once implemented) they ...

Re: 3. Don't build your gates and walls facing outwards.
The high side is the outside. The low side is a platform to stand on with partial cover (for the eventual addition of ranged weapons).
I would still strongly advise against the building of walls. They can wreck your squad AI.

Re: European-influenced weapons and decorative weapons
Chris talks about this in the internet interview, he mentions spears for certain. The problem with adding more swords to me (and a rapier is an excellent example) is that each radically different sword type is a different proficiency. How much does the rapier add to Kenshi really? It also detracts f...

Re: Mechanical Arms are Historic Realities
Thoose legs are in no way mechanical, there's a carapace which is for only organic parts... My first example was actually of a mechanical drider dual wielding a gun. That picture vanished after a few hours so I quietly replaced it with the current illustration. You just have to imagine what a rusty...

Re: Mechanical Arms are Historic Realities
3. This game is not set in an era where a replacement limb would have funcion, 'cept maybe to give the illusion of still possessing the said limb. I disagree. Kenshi features some very sophisticated technology. A fully automated research bench is extremely advanced robotics. There is already a full...

Re: Stretchers and Other Medical Talk
I prefer just picking a beaten team mate up with one of my guys with high str and he just runs full speed to where they need to go instead of having two guys pull something out of their inventory to do it and leaving an extra person vunerable. Completely understandable. I dont think I would use a s...

Re: Killing enemies while they are unconsious.
I do not like finishing moves in this case. If bandits could do that to the player the early game would be to difficult for many players, and other options provide more interesting play. I think that characters should either bleed out, or be bandaged and sold to slavery...or some other not immediate...

Re: Mechanical Arms are Historic Realities
I am maybe going too forward in mechanical advencement, but I can't see anyway that it wouldn't be cool. Well I am expecting that the mechanical limbs will be implemented by changing the texture of the limb, but replacing the entire limb (and collapsing the original limb model into the remaining to...

Re: ETA on armor\wepon crafting?
Well, the front page mentions that weapon crafting will be two patches away. The very next patch will continue work on the walls, then Chris plans on implementing crafting. The new costumes will be coming out much later. The internet radio interview is very informative and will tell you some things ...

Re: Wall no-collision bug - 0.40.2
Your walls are indeed facing the wrong way. Chris stated in the read me for 0.40.2 that this would cause problems. Try tearing down the walls, building them correctly and checking if the problem remains.
