Hi all, i'm loving the hell out of Kenshi, but I had a few questions that I can't find the answers for.
1. Do new recruits in saloons respawn? And are they randomly generated, or will Sing always be in Brink etc.?
2. If I attack a town and kill some shopkeepers and/or guards, will they eventually be replaced, or can I effectively ghost town a city?
3. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change my faction name. I could have sworn I found how when I first started playing but now I can't.
Thanks for your help in advance.
A couple of questions from a new player.
Hey! Logged in just to answere atleast one of your questions!
1. I belive they are randomly generated as i have seen a couple of Recruits named "ice" in different towns over my time playing this game.
2. I don't think it's possible just yet to make it a ghost town, sure you can wipe them out, but after a while i think they respawn.
3. And to change your Faction's name, you open up your map, go into the faction's tap in the map window and you have a little bar were you can write in at the top right(i think its in the top right) of the faction window!
And no problem'o!

1. The recruits aren't exactly randomly generated. But close enough
I think there has been made few (10+?) characters in advance and it randomly chooses one of them to spawn. But they don't respawn.
They spawn once and if you recruit or kill them, there's no one to hire in that town anymore. But if you import your squad to new game, it resets the world and new recruits spawn and they can be recruited.
2. Yes you can turn towns to ghost towns, there's no "respawning" in game. (Except for the squads roaming the landscape) If you can kill someone from town, he stays dead.
The thing is, that it's really hard to kill everyone from town because they keep giving first aid to each other, so they will rise again after knock out. It's really hard to kill even one NPC, actually, when raiding town. There's always someone to heal the fallen.
Only way to get someone really killed is to get the blood lvl to around -75 or one of the vitals (head, chest) around -100.
Replacing can be made by importing squad.
3. You have been answered about that already

Thanks a ton for the informative answers, guys
With that, I have one more question. Let's say i've built a few buildings and made a little outpost (The blue circle appeared on the map and everything). If I start a new game, importing my squad, will that outpost still be there or is the entire map wiped clean?

There's different options when importing. You can only reset your squad position, import squad with buildings or import squad without buildings.
