Where can I find a Getting Started Guide

Hi all,

Since the price of the game was going to go up with the next update I decided to simply purchase the game before hand. Great decision, trust me I'm patting myself on the back for it. So while I already figured out a good deal of the games mechanics there seems to be a plephera of mechanics I have still not figured out how to use. (though I have not made a major attempt)

Such as purchasing a building (though I have a guess at how this works but have not played since in order to test it) robbing people, joining armies, where nations and religions are centered. I know a lot of this is basic inexperience but does anyone know where I can find a getting started guide or a feature guide?

This forum has a current features guide. If you check in the 'General' subforum section you will find a sticky near the top labelled "Current Features List". It will let you know most of the features in the game currently.

Be aware that we are currently testing a beta version of the next release for bugs. You are welcome to download and play that version too if you wanted to check the "Kenshi testers Forum" subforum section. Note that many of the features that people are talking about now such as shops and buying buildings are a part of the current mini beta patch however basic building construction and most other features currently implemented are still in the current official release.

Finally, some of the things that are promised that you mentioned are not in yet. Robbing people (of money) has not been implemented and neither have joining of armies, religions (unsure what you meant here) and many other things. There is also a handy (very) mini tutorial list in the game itself if you click on the "Help" button in the bottom right of the UI.

I hope this isn't too much info, any other questions then ask away; most of us are a good bunch with only the occasional black hole of morality.

Thanks. I was aware of the in game tutorial. Browsed that thing several times to get the hang of the current features.

Didn't know that several of those features weren't in the game. Makes me feel smarter knowing I just didn't see them.

Religions is listed in FAQ. I guess they're like factions.

Check out the wiki link on the homepage. You might find a little more info on there. Or just find something you didnt know. I dont think its been updated for a while though.
