Not all towns have police stations. And due to a bug, a few of them were re-labeled as trade centers. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me could create a list of which towns have police stations.

I know for certain that Shark and Catan both have police stations. Shark's is labeled as "Trade" and is at the very end of Shark's walled district. Catan's is labeled police, and is right at the entrance. Hope this helps!

I believe you can also find one at Brink, the town you first start at, as well as Port South and Skinner's Roam.

The one in Brink is unmarked.

It's been my experience periodically that, if bandits were killed near the city, the sheriff might be out bandit hunting and hasn't returned to his office yet. May have to look for him a little.

I believe you don't even need the sheriff - just put your bounty in a cage and you get your reward ;)

Confirmed.. I did this too.

You can talk to the sheriff or put them in a cage, both works :)

Do you get full money if you put a dead guy in the cage? "honest sheriff, he was a live when i dropped him off!"

If anything, you should at least get 50% of the profit for dropping off a dead man. I wouldn't go as far as to say "he has to be alive", but usually they want him alive.

Well, i know if you give a dead guy to the sheriff, you only get 50%, but hey, if you drop him in a cage, who's to say WHEN he died? :D

Don't go starting some creepy dead bounty preservation trade. Oh and while you can put them directly in cages, you HAVE to talk to the sheriff in the unmarked stations cause the don't have cages.

You mean like bandaging them up enough so they stop bleeding before picking them up? :D

No I mean like setting up some sort of shop for helping bounty hunters make it look like their bounties are still alive.

It'd be nice if there were cages in each town.

Then again, some of my most enjoyable moments have come from slogging from town to town with ever increasing rewards, loot and injuries in the hopes of dumping my bounties off. Think the most I've made in one run was 37000 catans. Most of the time was spent limping and carrying other people too, my group was so wounded and knackered.

Im curious as to how i collect any reward for bringing bandits to the cages in the jails.. I picked up a least five dust bandits (bleeding but alive) and dropped them off in the cages at brink's jail and never got any reward. When i talk to the police chief all he says is to bring them in for rewards. Am i skipping a step somewhere as far as collecting the reward cats?

Heft does too. Also on the left past the entrance gate. I had my ninja with a 5000 cat bounty slung on my shoulder who I swore was dead, but when I placed him in the cage with the ''gears/motion prompt'', he stood up in the cage and a message appeared that read

''5000 Bounty Collected'' with this amount added to my total. So if there is a ''bounty bug'', I have not seen it yet.
