New to this game, just had it for over a week now but I'm having difficulty understanding some things.
Each item has 0.# as a stat. From what I have biggers means better, but what do these represent? Does the 0.81 mean it takes 81% of an enemies health and does 0.30 for armour mean it blocks 30% of damage or something?
And for the percentages next to trade goods does it represent the percentage of the base price you pay? I'd like to be completely sure.
Question about stats and numbers

As far as weapons go there's a complex formula only Chris really knows intricately, weapons go up to about a total of 3 when you're using a heavy weapon of the very best quality, and then there's a strength multiplier and skill factors that determine what amount of damage you do when you hit. Then the area hit is determined, whether it hits armor is determined, and from what I gather yes armor numbers seem like they are directly calculated as a percentage of damage received, although I could be mistaken. When the upcoming armor revamp comes out if the best armors are still around .80 like they were long ago then we'll have confirmation of a sort. Yes, trade goods % is the amount of deviation from the basic value of the product in question.
