With such a dynamic game world and diverse ways to play, Kenshi comes with it a limitless variety of gameplay experiences...sort of. The game has a long way to go and in its current and very much unfinished build, you are quite limited in what you can do. But with that said, I'd like to know what your worlds are like and how they came to be that way. How did/do you make money? Did you start an outpost and if so, where? Is your squad comprised of a single lone wolf? A good, a bad, and an ugly? A dirty dozen? What did you name all of the shit you can name? Let me know. In addition to descriptions of your game worlds, I want stories. Epic and otherwise, please. Thanks for sharing :) .

With that said, I'll start us off:

My game is shit. Not only have I not played the game much, but it's an experimental game at that. So, I started off looting bandit bodies, recruited 5 additional guys, and started an outpost near Fort Simion. I've researched a bunch and of course create my own building materials. My main money maker is rum. I thought I would roleplay a bit and run what would essentially be a brewery. Only after running an empty liquor store for a few days did I do a bit of research and find out that shop counters don't work. Now, I just wander around killing hungry/desert bandits to get my skills up and will occasionally quicksave, attack empire patrols (to test my strength), die, and reload. I plan on continuing to do this until I get bored at which point I will then start crafting shit. So yeah, like I said; not a very exciting game. As for names: my first squad member is Juju (my RL nickname), the other 5 are just pre-made names (Knife, Skins, Carp, Mortez de Zerka and Shaku). My faction name is (please keep in mind this was a throwaway game. I'm also quite immature) Chodethrust and my outpost name is Gack. So yeah, there you have it.

Well in my world i started with The holy sword. I didnt really have anything to start with and you cant fight so i had to loot bodies, i didnt bother running back to the guards and frankly you cant do that with the Holy empire. I would find a battle already in progress and wait till it was over then go in and take all the swords and upgrade other items like cosmetic and armour. I first bought 1 guy and bought him a nice big traders bag (took all my money) so i can then go around looting more. I ended up getting into alot of fights because my mule was slow and i had to keep defending him since he could actually die unlike me.

After doing that a bit i had about 20k a small squad of 6 (4 main fighters 1 medic 1 mule) and everyone had ninja gear with grey hats and armoured sandals.
The empire was still a problem however so i decided to hire some more guys to act as spikey shields. With a squad of 16 i started looking for a nice place to settle down, i been over most of the map and have found a few places i like but none that really tickle my fancy. So i havnt setup a base yet but when i do i will most likely focus on building materials so i can greatly expand my base and monopolise the land
The world is nothing but an illusion of the mind

Well, my first ninjas is getting old proven by the 91 str and all the other high stats my slaver has.
My slaves have built a pretty big base ontop of one of those weird mountains with steep cliffs that are all around the capital.
But one of my slaves (Derpy) made me aware that this rock infact acts like a NPC trap in the sense that their AI or pathfinding will trap them forever in my base (nowhere near my shop).
Also, my priest told me that the bearded god of Kenshi will be adding more stuff that require me to build a city in a better spot.

So i have to use magic to make my current settlement disappear and then after that i will have to build a new one.

I have 19 slaves though and 19 large traders backpacks for all my slaves and plenty of materials for them to carry.

Still a hassle though.

Once i can craft armor and have geared all slaves i intend to go to war with the Holy Roman Empire (yeah, i play Crusader Kings 2.).
I have no country to fight for; my country is the earth; I am a citizen of the world.

When I saw the retired captain background my world started coming together for me. My main guy (Eldrick the Brave) was an "indentured bodyguard" under some famous Holy Empire noble since he was little, and was beaten into fighting shape. He would use him like an animal the frighten the lower classes (he is at max height and built like tree btw) and kill any bandits stupid enough to cross his path. Until a group of wandering nomads dressed in white armor bearing odd crests attacked their caravan a few miles outside of South Port, they killed every imperial soldier in total silence. When they got to Eldrick they found his hands wrapped around the now very dead Nobleman's neck, they undid his chains and left without a word. Alone, Eldrick wandered for miles until stumbling into the gates of South Port were he traded-in his shackles (and most of the Noble's valuables) for a sword and some sandals and began his journey for revenge against the Holy-men who broke him and to find the odd swordsmen who saved him.

Along the way he meet many strange men who wanted to join his cause, the first was a wiry loud-mouthed man named Barker, who was on the run from some local bandits he offended somehow, he joined with Eldrick to learn how to fight and protect others. The Next two were Giz and Brutas, brothers who's machine shop had just closed down due to increased taxes, when they heard about Eldrick while drinking away their sorrows they instantly asked if he needed a few strong backs on his quest and joined up. the final wanderer to join was a cold-eyed and oddly silent medic named splint, they found him unconscious in the middle of the desert with a dead sand ninja next to him. After that Eldrick realized that their was more evil in the world than he could hope to destroy with a rag-tag group of nobody's, so he decided to form a group of warriors dedicated to hunting down any bandit, slaver, murderer, or tyrant they could find, a group know as The Regulators.

Sounds awesome. I'm not super into role-playing but you've helped to inspire me to immerse myself a little bit more. It can make you care about the characters and your decisions as well as give you a sense of purpose. Keep it up!

I started out with the freedom seekers. I am leaving the names as they are, so my main guy is Ribs (very huge and muscled) who turns out to be very despotic, tyrant leader. At the start, i met a guy named Infinite Wingwang and bought him.

Guys settled not far from city the came from (you can look out the thread "best location for a town") and start a building material production. Knife got locked in research room. I am researching since then and upgrading wepon smithing production chain since then...

I was not fighting first ~20 hours - only luring bandits to the city. Than i backpacked all the rums i created, visited two cities and bring few more guys...

Outpost grows, guys get six beds and few dummies to train on. They created few weapons for themselves and traded more Rum for some armor. Now they are able to withstand even Dust bandits raid (finally skilling some defence). At the time they got best weapons and armor available near to my outpost, they will lock doors and hit the road as a caravan - to buy more guys and protect them on the way back.

Outpost is named The Nest and faction Up High
Ribs is stoned the whole time. And it is on the top of the mountain, so...
