Hey guys in short I have a steel refinery and stone refinery everything is automated. Issue is I have one guy hauling stone to stone refiner just fine by assigning a job through the mine and same for the ore mine however. Timmy doesn't want to haul them he will run half way there and stop and not continue I've tried rebuilding the mines rebuilding the processors inventory empty everything. He just doesn't want to do it along with anyone else. They will however haul the ore to ore storage if I build one and assign it through that. Just not to the processor. Has anyone had this problem if so how can I fix this annoyance besides downgrading my steel refiner to non automated.

general haul job is still new, ( and buggy ) and its very possible the current pathing engine is creating this issue.
keep this bug on hold until the new pathing engine comes out and we'll see if it still holds true after that.

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?

Should I start asking Santa what I want for Christmas or do you think it's going to be here sooner then that?Hatsune_Neko wrote:general haul job is still new, ( and buggy ) and its very possible the current pathing engine is creating this issue.

i found using 2 people for that job works for me.
one empties the steel refinery and the other one empties the ore mine.
of course you would need to build an ore deposit and a steel deposit right where he wants to collect the stuff.
if he never runs or has to move anything but the ore/steel it seems to work for me.
i had it automated and walked away from the computer, and only went back to press f5 once in awhile, and soon i had 4000 steel bars in the deposit.
maybe off-topic, but somewhat related:
i kind of hate that if you really want your base to go somewhere you have to do these trivial tasks also, and there is nothing you can do but just sit and look at the stats of your people raising. but it makes a perfect cigarette break as long as i don't have to craft 20 fragment axes edge type 5, before the show moves on.
I hope in the future that this part of the game is going to be even more expansive, so there would be even more choices/buildings maybe even gameplay options.
because managing a shop makes this so much more complex. but i guess i remember someone telling me that's going to be a feature in the future.
