Great game so far! Can't wait to see what comes along in the future! That said, I know the pathfinding is a little weird, which might be causing my current issue, but here goes:

I'm trying to automate the crafting of fabric to use in other items. I have a fabric loom, fabric storage and crafter permanently assigned to the loom inside a large house. Outside, I have twp hemp farms with permanent workers, an automated well, a water tower and hemp storage. Sounds like all the pieces to the puzzle, right?

The fabric crafter does not go to either storage or the farms to collect more hemp when it runs out and the farmers do not collect water from the well when needed. One of the two also does not take the hemp to storage as output fills up, just holds it in inventory.

I've managed to automate mining and other crafting just fine, and have even tried having another worker working a non-automated well (which helped with mining problems earlier) but maybe I'm missing something here? Any help would be appreciated.

Raw Materials = Water, Hemp, Wehat, Stone, raw Iron (not sure by iron) Storageboxes are Bugged actualy as it seems, my workers neither use them correctly to get the stuff out of them for further processing, they just use them to dump the excess goods  . (stone & Wheat & Watertower as example)
you should skip those storageboxes. but i'm not quite sure how long it will work that way automatic, because i'm not that far. i just had observed and readed that information through the forum. so no gurantee :)

You might also check your crafter's inventory to make sure he has the right dimensions of free inventory space to pick up the items and didn't overload himself with one kind of crafting material.

I also have the same bugs but My guys have plenty of space in the inventory. Other then that seems to be working out great. P.s. my guys have only cannibal clubs and no armor or gear. What doesn't kill them makes them a lot harder to kill down the road so I am all for tough love. And yes 10 of them can tear a pack of dogs a new one.

Yeah i'v unfortunately been plagued by this bug as well recently.. The people working have plenty of space as they have large trader backpacks but they just continue "working" on the fabric loom even though they don't have any hemp on them. Probably another Pathing issue though, fingers crossed the next update somehow manages to fix this.

I just started on version 0.74 and am planning to check this out as soon as I have a new outpost up and running.

I haven't yet tested in the new update, but I was getting a similar error when crafting fabrics. I would manually move stuff, and it would work for a while, but then stop again as you described. After a couple times like this I noticed that the input progress bar for the hemp would sometimes stop at 1% instead of going all the way to 0 and everything would grind to a halt. It was as if there was not enough hemp to use, but because it wasn't completely gone the worker wouldn't get the cue to replenish the raw material.

I'm currently on v 74.4 (under a new game of course - it wasn't possible to load the old one on a newer version) and while this particular problem is a little better, automation in general still seems a bit spotty. I'll set a character as a medic, make sure they have med kits and see them stand over a wounded ally and watch them die. Ditto with stone processing a crafting from time to time. I guess for now I'll just chalk it up to still being in alpha and micromanage for a while until newer versions come along!

Very confused why this is happening to you still. I've never encountered this issue before and I've done both New Games and Import Games from previous version.
Would you kindly upload your save folder in .zip format so that I may see if the issue is being caused by your save file or not? If it isn't, its likely that a re-installation may be required to fix this issue.

Nope, that wont fix it either. I'v made a thread as well about this issue and i'v made a new game.. imported a game.. re-installed Kenshi.. and the issue is still there.

I think it has something to do with the fact that you game or character thinks your inventory is full when it isn't. Even with plenty of space free, it'll tell you "there is not enough room" and thus not grab anything. But it's weird cus even when they do have enough of the resource in their inventory they sometimes still don't do their job.

Been having this issue since the "big patch"
