So I finally got to the point where I can do some farming, but when I went to harvest my greenfruit, nothing appeared in the farm's output! It still said the the number of fruits on the farm was going down, but none were added to the output or to the farmer's inventory. Also, when my plants ran out of water, the farmers never actually hauled water to the farms, I had to do it manually to keep the crops alive. Am I missing anything here?
Thanks,

Farming Issues
i get from a full field of greentfruits ~ 5-8 veggies, i'm not certain if it is based up on the skill of the farmer or not, sofar but yes sometimes the farmer went in "idle" mode and forgets to water the fields, while the Wells had 1-2 Barrels stored.
- Conclusion maybe your inventory is full to haul a barrel, but it happened even with empty ones idk. to early to fill a bugreport with it for me-
For the Tier 1 Wells i suggest only wheatfarm with my personal experience, unfortunately the Oven eats a lot of water either compared to the output also it takes two wells for watering twofields and the oven at 0.5x Production multiplier.
i still need to buy food from different sources because my peoples are working on the fields and don't have sparetime to Hunt for some tasty killegoatmeat or they starve to death.
The degrading condition of the fields doesn't help either in that scenario.
^90.04 experience,
with the Reimport to version 90.06+ i have changed to 1.2x production Multiplier and modified the Starvationtime to 32hours per 100 Nutrition.
i was just masochistic because now i have ~ 70breads in the basket and everyone is wellfed, seems the additional 24 hours are too much again for the performance output.
I like the struggle but that is to easy now for the Freedome Seeker start.

So now I do see some crops being farmed but the yield is still stupidly low. I mean 5 crops out of 50 are what I get back on average and my farmers skills are probably around 18 each now. They have gotten a little better about hauling water to the plants, but I still wouldn't be able to leave my farmers to do it automatically. I think that this might need a little refining as it feels odd that they can grow a full field of food and then destroy 90% of it on harvesting. Has anyone been able to get at least 50% yield and what did you do? If it's a balance thing, I'd prefer to see it take longer rather than have lower yield because at least I can plan around that a bit more.
I am loving the new update, but food is tough when you have enough people to run a settlement, but can't really make food. I have relied on a thief to steal blueprints for money and then using the cash to buy food and supplies to keep my men alive.

Well I found out a little secret about farming.
Apparently even if you find futile soil, my farm has 100 fertility and 60 water, there is still something else about the environment. In the upper corner I noticed there is another number that says the environment allows only a 10% yield.
Not sure what that means yet. It seems that the place I thought was perfect for crops is not so great.
May have to move.

Just saw that and I think it came in the new patch. I moved to wheat and am getting massive increases in yield (60% vs 10% for greenfruit). This was because I am in a desert biome, I guess. I now have plenty of wheat to make bread as needed. Devs, keep up the great work!
