standard grade gear in 90.x

Iam unsure how to get the standard grade crafting ability in the new experimental kenshi. The previous version you bought the BP and were able to research your way to standard grade gear (boots,shirts,armor). Has this been changed or taken out?

I think you just have to increase your skill but there is also research once you have the base blueprint ie drifters boots then you can level it up in the research bench.

you need to buy/steal blueprint and research higher tiers
