I´m not sure to which extent it is intended or if it might be a bug: [0.9.x]

e.g. If im using a campfire of a different faction, i have to put in MY raw meat and get out MY, by myself cooked.. er, dried meat, what is handled as commiting a crime and raising my bounty each piece.
I guess, the ownership right now is handled by the container the item comes from.

So, i think the ownership of items should remain in most cases independent of the container it´s put in, especially in production context (campfire, workbench,).

I became a badly wanted man by serial-rosting dead meat on the farmers campfire. I´m so mean.
Another topic: should there be bounty caps for lesser crimes? Like for thievery max 1000cats bounty?

Same here, on every start so far Holy Nations is friendly until I set foot into any building, then they instantly go aggressive.

They seem to only go kill bill crazy if you step into a private building, cliking a building will show on the left if it is private or public, if it is public you should be safe entering, if it is private prepare to fight or run like hell. :D

Yeah, I haven't had any aggro issues in public buildings. Originally I was enjoying pilfering the armories and I'd usually wait out my opportunities to do so by using their training dummies. Then the new version came out and I walked in to a thorough beating and subsequent incarceration. :P

I've had a rather different experience with looting containers from other factions.

I can take water from wells, ores from copper/iron deposits, foods from farms and use campfires at will.

Unless the container is marked red, they don't mind.

As long as they are not watching you nothing bad happens.
I cooked up enough meat in a town one night and the committing crime message came up and went away a dozen times with no bounty. The one person happened to walk by and suddenly I was fighting and running for my life.

Same thing out on a farm. over night no one was watching and I had no problems. But in the morning one of the farm hands came by and started to eat what I had on the fire. When I tried gather it up all heck broke loose.
