I understand and agree with the ability for both players and AI to loot stuff from unconscious people. however... if this unconscious person is being carried this should lock them from being looted. I was carrying one of my downed companions and an AI controlled character ran up and took all the gear from the unconscious character I was carrying. it should be allowed that members of the same faction can loot a carried body maybe, so we can give things to our unconscious mates. but other should not be allowed to loot those that we are carrying.
Fumikomi & Kamae: Like the Yin and Yang create a symbiosis. One is not superior to the other, they are two parts of a whole.

If you are not able to keep the NPCs away they can steal from you. It is like Kenshi works. The stronger one takes it from the weaker one.

I have made an experience in RealLife. When a friend was moving I carried a heavy furniture down the stairs and to the car, the other guys just took a rest. When I went out to the streat I felt something at my pocket and I saw a little boy grabbing my purse out of it. I could not run after him because of the furniture (it was some kind of old cabinet) and I needed some seconds or a minute to put it down without doing any harm to it and to run after that boy. Of course I never got him )
I imagine situations you describe like this situation. The people are not really hostile towards you they just take advantage of your situation whenever they could.

In your cabinet situation, maybe the hands are occupied but your legs don't, kick his head or his legs to make him fall

This is exactly my opinionAbek wrote:However, in Kenshi, carrying someone only occupies one of your hands, (unlike carrying a couch)
Attempting to steal from a party member should be considered an act of aggression, allowing you to beat them to death.
Agreed!Abek wrote:Attempting to steal from a party member should be considered an act of aggression, allowing you to beat them to death.
And it doesn't matter if you are carrying them or not.
I hate having to "unprovoked attack" someone who is looting my sleeping comrades.
And Allies should not loot Allies. Only hostiles should loot. But hostiles should ALWAYS loot.

NPCs marked as hostiles after stealing from you sounds legit. Then it won't even affect global relations since that looter made a first move and thus you have all rights to kick the d#ck
On the second thought... they really has nothing against you, just wants your stuff, and it's up to you to consider it act of agression. Attack unprovoked sounds legit as well...
