I just want to say that I love the Dialogue in Kenshi and all of the random little things NPC's say and do with the Characters every now and again. I hope to see much more of it. From the HN trying to get me to hand over nonhuman squad members to the Shek guards doing a pack check to Starving bandits rummaging through my stuff muttering to sitting in a bar listening to some of the patrons talk. All of these little things really go a long way toward fleshing out a world. I love how the Squad talks among themselves when entering an area and how different groups react in different ways. I am really looking forward to the Diplomacy.
This might be better put some where else but I would really like to see even more Dialogue, squad interaction, bar stories, mumbling hobos, all of it!
Thanks so much, Kenshi is has been a game I didn't know I needed.

Yeah I feel exactly the same. There are few games where the NPCs in the world feel as consistently interesting -- and the behaviors you get managing squads seems to really lend itself to "feeling alive".

Well said! :)

My favorite NPCs are the Shrieking Bandits. As long as they're not attacking me, they always make me laugh! If they'd keep shrieking after they joined me, I'd seek out more of them! Haha! :D

I went on exploration once, and wondered into shrieking forest. Group of bandits approached me:"Oh, i'll talk my way out of this, as i've been doing previously, i'm sure" but our shrieking took the wrong turn at some point, and they've become hostile. I'll learn their tongue one day!

Hi, Sol Lignum,

Haha.... I can relate! That happened to me, too, more than once! Haha! I've not tried to really understand their language, but should!

I remember seeing Shrieking Bandits fighting cannibals; the s.bandits were outnumbered pretty badly, so we went to help them. After the victory, the s.bandits attacked me! I thought, You nutcases! In the aftermath, seeing them dying, when they were normally having so much fun being free and shrieking around, I felt bad. That's when I developed an attachment to them. So, healed them up, guarded them and fled when they were near consciousness. I know it's just a game, but their playfulness brings happiness into my days :)

Recently, in one of the games, I had just looted shops in Blister and was a little away from the city when a HN patrol group told me to not take another step; I'd not had that happen like this before. I thought I was dead for sure! I wasn't strong... just an okay thief. The HN demanded to check my pack! Another new dialog for me. I'm dead for sure! Ah well... just show him and accept whatever fate happens. Surprisingly, he sent me on my way! I high-tailed out of the Hub asap! I really liked that whole experience!

The gate guards have been checking my packs in and out of HN towns lately. I have been very careful about what I have in there. So I was shocked when I went for the random bag check and suddenly they attacked my lone character. I thought it was glich so I reloaded and checked my bags. nothing was HN or contraband???? What could it be? I attempted entry several more times and had the same reaction. then I finally figured out that the sandals I was wearing were stolen off a HB leader. The guard just saw them as stolen goods, proclaimed me a heretic and killed me . Can't blame them for doing their duty.

To: swillo.

Bummers @ being attacked & killed... those HN ratbags! (kidding). But, I think that's awesome in regards to gameplay! :D Those darn sandals... grrrrr! Haha! :D My large bag had some HN stolen goods in it, so I had no clue why he let me go; I was 0 relations with them, too!

I once kidnapped a HN Paladin and put him in a Flotsam Jonin uniform (without weapon), hoping he'd be attacked (I like to cause mischief). I'm thinking his stealth wasn't high enough to have the uniform be disguise, so nobody fell for it and he strolled around like nothing... drat! Haha! I might try that with thieves, Black Dragon, etc... just to be a brat :)

In regards to dialog... the Hive traders that keep chasing for me to come back (human), that makes me laugh! :) The other day, I saw the garru speech bubble for the first time; I liked it!!

I have "almost" figured out the Screaming bandits language. Meaning I can guess it right more often then not.

Awesome @ the Shrieking Bandits' language! Every time I "thought" I answered correctly, they walked away and attacked me shortly after... haha! They're still cute to me, though! :D They kind of remind me of cannibals that don't eat me :D
