The leather will provide a lot less cut resist (take the % and half it with a 50% stun) and less harpoon, but more blunt resist. I'm not sure why chain makes crossbows horrible but i'm assuming they just have not put the value to 1 on that item.
in terms of balance... with 80% coverage on legs the leather blows it out of the water even with the stun % being 30% higher

Yup, it was my conclusion, the leather option is better, but i think it should not be.. dont know..
One is a light armor made almost early game, the other is medium armor, to make we need chain research, not so easy to get. I think we deserve some “prise” to get chain crafting.
The light option has better leather to make them fluffier to better stop blunt?
By the description is leather pants with plates attached (I don’t think they even belong in chain craft)
But the worse is 80% vs 100% protection. With the hard to get “chain” option you have 20% chance of not having pants in a fight
Again, it not feels right, to me

And if i hit the legs with a katana the coverage is reduced to 70%? Or what i am missing?
