I disagree with everything the OP is suggesting, that would not be funny.

I think you're misunderstanding, drakken. This isn't something to change the game itself, or to be particularly funny, but rather some guidelines that players can follow, if they want, to make the game more challenging for themselves.

Not sure if it's "hardcore" but I like to play with one of the chars being me/the main guy/general or whatever.

Essentially that means that I'm only allowed to control team members that are within shouting range (with the cam fixed on my char).
If my main guy dies or is unconscious, the second highest dog takes control.

Other than that, no medkits unless I'm in a village. And no access to the inventar (to swap out backpacks etc) if there's an enemy within reach.

I think that's about it.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Need help? pm me or any other mod.

1. Never split the squad

I love to split my squad, i am doing it all the time.

2. People carrying bandages are not allowed to fight in melee (blocks only)

Not realistic, i don't see why carrying bandages is preventing you from attacking.

3. You can only lure enemies to city guards when you have less than 4 people.

No problem with that even if here again this is not too realistic.

4. No save scumming, auto and exit saves only

NOOOOOOOOOOO! i really hate that if for a reason your save is corrupted you can start over again.

A hardcore mode for me would be something like.

- Starter blueprint 500k !!!!
So you will have to walk, fight, and trade alot!!

- the price of any blueprint would be x 10.
- You can't loot the mobs killed by someone else.
- You and your men are suspicious for several more factions, they are not attacking you on sight but will not trade with you until you have raised your faction with them.

well something like that would be more challenging and the game would still be the same. ;)

Drakken, you don't seem to understand what the OP meant.

He's talking about USER-made up rules for a hardcore gameplay. What you are suggesting is something that we can't use for a selfmade hardcore gameplay without a mod.

For instance, your suggestion about blueprints costing 10 times more can't be used without Chris implementing it or someone making a mod for it.
What we are talking about here are a set of self imposed rules that we can use to play a more hardcore gameplay like for example playing with just one hand ;)

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Aaaaaaaaah ok, i feel stupid, oh well as an ESL who as learned English on forums only i have a cheap excuse.

And no i can't do that myself, well i could but i can't, the matrix is evil, i want to live this game not change its parameters, the code is blasphemy, moders are both blessed but still burned at the stake because they know the evil behind Kenshi's real life and this is bad! real bad!

And no i will not speak with Chris since he could be the one who as killed Spirit !

my personal fav for hardcore
Holy Sword start
No heavy armor, light only
Max 2 in a squad, with 5 being max after starting first base camp
No backpacks
has to start base city when still has only 2 people in the squad.
Make money only from trading or looting the boots off bandits. ( up until last century boots were highly prized items to loot off the dead )

Last part is my own personal Mod Larger Battles with 3 to 4 times the amount of normal enemy NPCs
now thats my current idea of hard core rules
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

Current computer specs.
AMD FX-8150 - Eight Core, 3.60GHz
NVidia GTX 1050TI
24GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz Ram
WD 1tb HD, 870 EVO 1TB SSD

start with rock bottom.
Hire only guys that cost 700cat and train em myself
All armor and weapons have to be player made (so using sticks till you can make swords/ barefoot till I can make boots...ect)

Next im going to try the same only all cash is made by my own shops only, ill have to find a good trade route.
Im gunna buy enough build materials to make a stone mine and processor, then everything else I build
will be made with material ill mine myself ( totally self sufficient )
Only buy things i cant make myself.

Ive also noticed that I never lose guys, they get knocked out but I never have anyone die. Wish I could increase the possibility of death. bleed rate increase or more damage per hit.

damn you are the lucky one, though come to think of it i have not had anyone die on me for a while but i had a couple fall in a massive rumble where one guy out of my 20 survived because i had him run away with the medpacks, it took a while to loose the tails on him and when i got back my 2 engineers who were the first to be attacked had both snuffed it, that was a patch or 2 ago now though.

i think it depends on how hard they were hit, if they had for instance 1 head HP and got a smack in the face for 40 dmg and also bleed out to -figures and don't take any healing for a bit then their portrait goes ghostly for a bit then disappears and you get the message <name> has died.
