Slavery

So im aware that npcs can and will capture my guys and make them work in the mines as slaves until i can save them or they perish. But I havnt seen anything to confirm that I can do the same. Am I allowed to get slaves to work? I know I can capture slaves and keep them hostage but can I make them work in my mines and stuff?

Capturing and making slaves is only meant for the NPC and for a added difficulty for the Player.

Its one of the very few things the Player cant do that the NPC can.

Actually, at least in old version, it was semi-possible: you buy a slave, free them of their shackles, and those can later be used to put on someone else's feet. Not sure if it'll make them "join" your faction and allow you to assign them for jobs, but it should technically make them a slave

oh well, i remember doing it with just bought slave, and their state switched to "escaped slave" when i removed those shackles and back to "slave of..." again when i put them back. still possibility to wear those shackles is quite a nice boost for imagination

I thought I read somewhere that if you buy them you can make them work for your mines...they will do the work but not carry anything...I would have to check this out myself, but worth a look.

you can buy slaves
but you have a 85% chance of them escaping after you leave town.
If i remember right if they don't run, they join your squad instead. as full members.
