Recently I found an HN paladin chasing an escaped slave near my outpost. It was a little while away from the local mine so I thought great, I can gank him and save the slave like 5v1. Unfortunately, when he yelled, out came his 4 other paladin buddies that shouldn't have realistically known their friend was being attacked.

I imagine they knew he was under attack since they were in the same squad or whatever, but it's kind of annoying. I suggest a 'hearing range' implementation.

Thoughts?

Yep, this is especially annoying when the friends of the gorillo you happen to be fighting are a nest of gutters.

I think that there is a hearing range as I have gotten away with the scenario you describe on many occasions. But I don't know if that was just because his buddies didn't like him or didn't hear him.

But Gutters always come in pairs. doesn't matter where you are they are physically linked and the second one will always show up.
