So, my gameplay story! I have a little tower filled with cages. I started as a wanderer, started trading, and worked my way up to the squad cap of 30/30 with a pretty big city going. But my fighters are all under level 30 attack/defence. My plan is to capture high-level enemies in the tower, give them low-level gear, and use them to train fighters. I caught a wandering assassin, which is awesome, but I really wanted an inquisitor.

So, I used my ten man squad of decent fighters ( ~lv25 skills. trained in the ancient art of running away from cannibals) to attack an inquisitor. The inquisitor stayed, the rest of his paladins ran away for some reason (pathfinding glitch?), and the inquisitor was easily knocked out in the 10 vs 1. I got my fastest guy to haul him to the cages, lock him up, and heal him. I thought everything was great.

But then... his squad came back. They ran right through my town (I hadn't locked my gate), and stood right next to the inquisitor's cage. Following him I guess.

In the end, all 30 of my guys were knocked out multiple times, and four ended up dying. That's what happens when you have an immovable squad of paladins in your base... Every time anyone got up they would get knocked out again, so I couldn't heal the people who were bleeding to death! I had to send a new recruit (1 attack/defense) running through the crowd of paladins to unlock the inquisitor.

They knocked everyone out one last time for good measure, and left my base! Thankfully!

Maybe next time I'll use some harpoon guns and capture a squad of paladins too...

ahahah very funny :)

perhaps building harpoons a but away and sniping them.

it will be interesting if bows or crossbows come up eventually, the "range shooting mechanics" is already in "from the harpoons !? but i wonder if it's a concept too much game changing that they still want to "balance it"

but it's interesting to see how a good idea can go wrong ... and what to avoid :)

Ah, capturing an inqusitor is the easiest thing - you need just one your mate disguised as HN and with 50+ assassination skill.
Then you go to any HN patrol with an Inquisitor on a lead - and banging them into their heads stealthy.
BTW when there'll be about 3-4 they could run on their common route (some kind of bug), so stay light-weighted to chase them.
