Hi.
I did a quick search and i didn't find any topic related to this,if there's one, please tell me so i can delete this one and post it to the right section.
So,i just started a new game, and started to build my based very near to a hive village, and the worker drones are keep coming and using my mines and whatever they can find.First there were only two,but now they are using everything and my guys can't level their own skills, since they have nothing to do.
First question:Is this on purpose or a bug ?
Second:Do they work for me, or they taking away whatever they are producing ?
Third:Any known problems or unwanted consequences of this phenomena ?
So,please reply whatever you know about this, wheter it's experience or you just know the game mechanics.
Hive Worker Drone works/steals
1. Pretty sure it's a bug. Their AI tells them to work machines/crops, it doesn't tell them to make sure it's THEIR machines/crops.
2. I don't think they take anything. I could be wrong though, I'm going off of what I've heard form others.
3. No major bugs or anything from it. Though you may have an issue with the fact that you cannot close your gate, because the Hivers will just break it down if you do.

I don't -think- they steal resources, but they won't put them in bins, either, so you have to do that manually.
If they break down doors, they're committing a crime, and in my experience, you can attack those drones freely (the Hive won't care or send soldiers to stop you). In fact, if you have turret guards, I believe they will attack automatically.
If you want to put your people on machines that have power, power off the machines. The drones will leave, and you can power them on again so your people can work.
Also, you can build a swarm of campfires outside your base. Drones will happily gravitate to the campfires and leave other work alone.
