building system is inefficient

hey,
It's just to report my feeback:
"The building system is ineffecient. i'm so sick of it!
the building placement is not flexible, so it's really difficult to place a building and you spend too much time in it.
The walls are the worst. You can build a whole wall and be unable to place a ramp and/or move your characters along the wall."
How to solve the problems:
- Deeper foundations of the buildings
- have ramps in spiral form
- rework the models of the walls
- The gates could integrate a ramp/stairs
Sincerely,
Red'

The only way to build walls (and everything else) in Kenshi is using the edit tools. The solution to all building problems in the game is turn the statement "there is no such thing as crooked walls (and buildings)" in reality...

I'm not finding anything wrong with buildings in general. Sure, you will hardly find any tilted buildings irl, yet again, irl you also have means to level ground, and if you wouldn't, the only thing you could do would be to look for a more or less flat spot, which we've got now. So it's ok.
The walls, however, are royally screwed, and since the moment i understood that, i stopped bothering alltogether and live without them

It's not a solution, for sure, so somehing must be done about it. And i have a feeling it will be at some point.

Not that is wrong, aesthetics are important and left unchecked with the current building system. I'm not frustrated and in fact I like it because I know how to reposition, correct the inclination and move using the edit tools - in fact, 90% of my houses are in areas not buildable per default. With the tools you can create very busy and realistic environments, stack and correct the poor angle selection available in the default system - the fact is that you can bypass the several building limitations. And guess what: It works.
And you not level the ground in Kenshi, you level the building (all you need is two clicks using the tools) - I'm personally not ok with tilted/crocked anything. Cities are the "first impression" that a new player have from the game - they need to be flawless, well designed, with variety and conditions to sustain a gameplay or reasons to be revisited at some time. And I hope every single wall is fixed after the final map is released and the developers can focus in minor details - and have some time to breathe, that's kinda important xD

the only problem is that if the tops are not level you can not walk along the walls. If you are using the auto level option then your walls will be straight but not useable. So the real issue is how to make the tops of the walls connected once you make the sections stand straight.
