Hello
So I was wandering, has anyone manage to start the game without the usuall way of let the bandits chase you and then fight them with
the guards?
Other ways to start your game?

Sure, it just takes longer.
Mine ore
Sell ore until you have enough money for building materials to build a stone mine
Mine more ore
Sell ore until you can buy enough iron plates to build a stone processor.
Start building your base and selling iron / building mats until you can afford improvements.

Yes that's what I am doing now, I really can't find any bandits, in the old versions were more common. Also the wilderness is x100 more dangerous, so exploring has become really difficult
As you get more familiar with the game and memorize where most things are located you can get away with what would otherwise be a dangerous and long undertaking. Like gunning it for some place where you know there are no guards (or guards you know you can easily sneak past) but still get a decent chance at finding high grade weapons, that way all such a thing costs is the amount of food it takes you to walk over to it. You can make a lot of easy cash that way too.
Not sure if that's still possible though, now that lockpicking has some limitations, but I bet there are still some places that have good loot without good locks.
Also, stealing the right things from the right people can get you an amazing quick start, armor king usually has something neat, and certain other skeletons have an amazing selection of weapons.

I some games I use stealth and KO to take out the last person in the bandit party and then fight them solo. It doesn't take too long to get good at sneaking and KO's if you sneak up behind them a lot. But be ready to run if you get spotted.leontas2007 wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 9:06 pmHello
