Need a Bridge near Drifters Last!

I didn't think this was a "feature request" so figured it should be posted here?
I notice there are always a lot of squads randomly stuck in the Lake between Drifters Last and the Waystation, even on vanilla, but it's way worse with any mods adding squads like caravans etc.
If a bridge could be put in to cross between the two closest points this would likely clear up the path-finding issues? From a lore perspective it would make sense to have a little bridge there for easier trading routes, rather than travelling around the lake? Was going to edit one in, but from what I can see the terrain has to be shallow to use pontoons (unless using swamp walkways).
I'm pretty new to the in-game editor though, so if I am mistaken I am happy to mod a bridge in if someone points me in the right direction?
