Backpack/bag of non-hauling- does this exist?

Hi there!

I don't know if this is possible, a good idea or if something like this already exists, so didn't put it in Feature Requests.

(example)
Sometimes, my doctor will have his food/med/robotics + ones in his bag. When I auto-haul, all the food/med/robotics are removed from the bag. Is there a way to have it set/modded/made so that of a bag, a section won't dump? Like maybe items in the top few rows of a bag won't dump (for food, meds, etc.)? Or maybe a small belt-slot bag that can hold stuff that won't be put away with auto-storage, but all the other stuff can be put into auto-storage?

My reason is that if my doctors auto-dump supplies, I sometimes forget to put those supplies back on them.

Thanks for reading and any ideas are appreciated :)

You could propabbly try and uncheck the "ditch resources" in the AI tab, characters should not clear any space when hauling in this case. Then you may simply put that backpack into their inventory, AI will ignore it and won't throw anything away.

Hi, Sol lignum,

Thank you for your suggestion :)

I wanted to update on what I found as a solution: Nanogiraffe's mod "Deep Thieves Pockets" (DTP). When both backpacks (primary & DTP) have items in them, as long as DTP isn't set at as the primary backpack opened, it won't be emptied with auto-haul or ditch items.

Thanks again :)

Yeah, it's pretty much all or nothing at the moment. Certainly gonna try out that mod you mentioned though.
