So I was fighting some Hungry Bandits right outside Squin...

when we all got jumped by some Dust Bandits. Managed the rescue fairly well. This was my healing team, so they don't move very fast when encumbered carrying a person. Got my people far enough away to not re-aggro the Dusties, but some were in pretty bad condition and needed healing before carrying them the rest of the way to Squin.

Now, when I say this, I'm talking the north east corner of the curved pathway right outside the city where there are a couple of decent copper sources (one on the plateau, one a little off path level). I consider this a fairly safe place, unless some weird spaw...wait. Is that? Holy f*** a beak thing just ran up and started attacking my healers.

So, uh...yeah. A beak thing. Right next to Squin. That was new. Just like my new team of healers and fighters after a beak thing ate the others.

Blood and sand? Death and looting? Dancing with the skimmers? Glory and cats?

Hyhy i remember when my 3 chars went into beak thing nest, was pretty good but then more came... so all 3 was onb ground and beak thing was started biting them, but with nice gear and `60 toughnes they dont die that fast, so it was like "get down, geting eaten, fight back, get down... etc" it was 5?10? times? I cant remember until night came and i was able to sneak away i was pretty scary that ill lose my guys there

No apologies necessary. I enjoyed the story and can relate to hoping to survive beak things just long enough to get away.
